I went with my dad for a late birthday dinner celebration. We had a fabulous waiter who was quick and efficient, the food we ordered was DIVINE, our table was involved enough in the restaurant, but quiet enough to talk. It was amazing. I cannot wait to return soon. Thank you for making this birthday so special!
We went there for a business dinner and it was a great experience! Eric was an excellent server, and each of our meals was great. Thank you!!
Food was good, service was terrible, server said he did not hear our order for fried green tomatoes. We had finished our meal before they were ready so we canceled our order. Server gave us soup spoons to stir our coffee with. He did offer us a piece of pie because of the mixup with the tomatoes but brought soup spoons to eat it with.
KURSEE was the best waitress we've had in a while! Her spirit was so bubbly, bright, her emotional intelligence was on point!! The food was great and we enjoyed ourselves!!
Food was great, had to send back our steak. It was ordered Medium and came medium rare. So we had to wait for the steak to be cooked additionally in order for all of us to enjoy our meal.
The food at Char is very good - and busy as it is they have quiet tables/booths where you can talk. The service is always excellent and was especially so last night. (Thank you, Alex!)
Everything was great including our waiter Jazz. Only downside was a rowdy group sitting at a table next to us. Not Char's fault at all.
Upon arriving, and despite having reservations, our party of 2 had to wait more than 20 minutes to be seated. When making our drink orders, the waiter had to come back two different times to inform me that the liquor that I ordered from their menu wasn't available. The third one I ordered was, thankfully. My wife ordered a red sangria, and it was clearly not sangria - just some fruit juice (pinkish) with some red wine poured in. We ordered crab cakes for the appetizer, and while they were almost exclusively crab meat as advertised, and they tasted good, they were unfortunately lukewarm at best. The wedge salad was good. For the entree, we ordered the tuna thinking it would be a tuna steak. Instead, it was about 6 tiny slices of tuna on top of lots of rice and stir fry, and it was not good tuna (which we frequently order elsewhere). The server, while not rude, wasn't the least bit helpful or attentive or personable. I had visited here about 10 years ago, and I had not returned due to a bad experience that time. I thought that with the passage of so much time that it was worth giving this place another shot. Needless to say, I won't be returning ever again.
We got there at 8:30 sat promptly however we ordered drinks we never received but were billed for the service was rushed perhaps because it was close to closing the filet was phenomenal but we got it because every other cut of steak was out of stock.
The service was absolutely ridiculously slow. Did not think we would ever get our drinks or food or check so we could leave pathetic do not know when I'm going back.

Magnificent food, service, and friendships! Small plates of spinach crisps, crab claws, tomato tower, and fried green tomatoes!
Kitchen was slow. Took an hour to get our food. The table behind us had an obnoxious man manaplaining airplanes like he was hard of hearing. The table in front of us shared their entire dinner experience on FaceTime on loud with another group of heathens. They laced their conversation with explicit language and cackles. It was a genuine Jackson ms experience.
Everything was amazing I had a guest of 16 for my birthday the service was unmatched!!! Thanks Char
I was surprised that restaurant that had a dress code and a waiting list a mile long had such a meh, Sunday brunch menu.
We had a reservation and still waited 20 minutes or more.
It was noisy to the point of yelling across the table to he heard or not speaking at all.
My party was seated next to the private function room where every time someone exited, I was hit with the door.
All in all, I was unimpressed with the body, over priced, restaurant
