Char Restaurant

We had not been to Char in many years and our first experience was good. We'd received a gift card as a thank you so of course we decided to go. I do wish now that I'd taken a photo of our dinner plates they were pitiful. I serve more appealing meals at home. The red fish was sliced so thin it was hard to eat the overcooked edges. The broccoli was dreadfully over cooked and just tossed on the plate. No care for presentation. Honestly I've had better served to me at a cafeteria. Dessert was great! A rather sad testimony for a supposed nice place to dine. To say we won't be back is an understatement.

This was our second time dining at Char. We had a lovely family dinner celebrating our daughter who was just starting college. Our server was wonderful and took great care of us. The food was delicious and we will be back.

I paid 30 for a farm raise salmon in one small side of sweet potato casserole. It was definitely not worth the money.

Everything was amazing. The food was good, service was great and we really enjoyed the jazz band. Very nice!!!

Very friendly staff. Food was moderate in temperature. Seemed as if it was prepared earlier and allowed to sit before being served.

Dining at Char is always a treat, one of my local favorites! Our waiter, Stephen, was very good. My only complaint is having pay for bread. Really?

Service was excellent. Brian and Darwin were very hospitable and helpful throughout our evening.

The manager and the server worked to put us in a more comfortable table. I had originally made a reservation for four but we had two more people that want to join when I requested a table for six. The hostess said there was not a table available for six, but then we were brought to a table that sat six people. I asked the manager if he could move us to a round table in the back several were open and he agreed and did that for us and turned what was going to be an unpleasant situation into a very pleasant afternoon dining experience 

We had a great meal. Service, drinks, appetizers, steak and scallops were all outstanding. Just a great dinner experience.

We really enjoyed all of our food from the BBQ shrimp appetizer to entrees (salmon, steak). We would definitely come back!

The steak melts in your mouth. Sit at the piano bar for a great experience. Exceptional service!

Excellent food with great service. Probably the best since moving to Mississippi. Best crab cakes hands down. We will be back.

Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary. I made reservations for two. We sat at a booth. An anniversary card was on the table when we arrived. I ordered the ribeye, hubby ordered the New York Strip. The strip was a little too thick for my liking, but the ribeye was great. I loved the atmosphere. Waitress was okay. She made sure we had what we needed. I would eat here again.

Nice quiet dinner. Excellent steak and salmon; scallops were just ok. Pecan pie dessert was huge and to die for!
