I’ve been to many Cups locations and loved every single one, which is why this experience caught me completely off guard. The moment you walk in, the smell of cigarette smoke hits you, strongly. Not faint or subtle, but overwhelming, as if everything inside had absorbed it. Maybe being placed next to a cigar shop is not the best choice for a coffee shop.
Unfortunately, the odor alone made this a one-and-done for us, which is a huge disappointment given how much we’ve enjoyed other Cups locations. We ended up purchasing our drinks and throwing them away at the next exit because the smell was just too much. 😮💨

I stopped by this bar in Jackson and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. I ordered a coffee and a slice of banana cake—both were excellent. The coffee was rich and comforting, and the banana cake was soft, moist, and full of flavor, the kind you remember long after.
When I visited, the bar was almost empty, which made the atmosphere calm, cozy, and perfect for a quiet break. It felt like my own little hideaway in the middle of the city.
And here’s the part that made it truly unforgettable: my cards didn’t work that day, and yet I still walked out without paying. Instead of making it awkward, the staff handled it with kindness and understanding. That personal touch turned an already good stop into an experience I’ll always remember.

This place has the sweetest and most patient staff! Wonderful conversation and awesome coffee. This morning, the cup cracked on the side and spilled all in my car, and the sweet gal manager made me another one. I got another afternoon coffee and lo and behold, I knocked it over on the counter... the sweet young man remade it for me!! Two mess ups in one day on my horrid behalf that they accommodated and they did not have to do that for my clumsy self, was so kind! Wonderful customer service, and will always be back! With not as many mess ups on my part 😂🫠
