The rice and peas, and fried catfish were good! Very fulfilling. The cornbread was the best I ever had (sorry grandma)! My friend had the jerk chicken and said it was good also!

Disappointed is not the word! Brought family and friends from Memphis TN, I thought I would treat them here at Godfrey’s North. Unfortunately the google said it was open until 4 pm on Sunday’s and it is closed. Called the other location and was denied a pick up order and was hung up on. I am embarrassed and still looking for a family restaurant to feed my guest.

We stopped through on the way back to Memphis. Food is WAAAAY over priced. For 6 wings sections and fries it was 21 dollars! It’s like club prices. To add we weren’t greeted and they were out of almost everything only 2 hours after opening. We wanted it to be so much better than it was. I recommend NOT stopping here of looking for good food or at least decent service.

Food was ok - terribly overpriced and rice was undercooked. Atmosphere was horrible - could not converse due to the club music being blasted. Wait staff is very overworked and too understaffed to properly take care of diners.

I gave 4 ⭐️ only because they were out of Turkey wings and I had to wait 30 minutes for fresh Jerk Chicken. It was worth the wait. Food was amazing we enjoyed the Oxtails as well. Will definitely recommend and return.

Second time visiting. First time was for lunch and everything was perfect. Went a second time for dinner, a birthday dinner, and was extremely disappointed. We waited over an hour when we were told it should only be 30-40 minutes for a party of 2. The only reason we were seated was because the owner saw us sitting and waiting in the lobby. As a former server, I did not complain because they were extremely busy with larger parties. But none of the servers were friendly, they didn’t want to explain anything on the menu because they were rushing. The kitchen messed up our order, and I ordered the exact same meal as before and it was not edible. The servers really killed the experience. The best items were the jerk wings, Mac and cheese, rice and beans, and cabbage.

I heard a lot of hype about this place so my family and I decided to give it a try. Some of the food items we ordered were good and some not so much. Based on the flavor of the food, it is definitely not worth the prices that are charged, but they do serve large portions. I was slightly disappointed that the restaurant does not have a homemade dipping sauce for the fried catfish. When I asked for sauce, I was brought back 1 small cup of tartar sauce (like the small cups of dipping sauce from a convient store). My family and I ordered drinks that came with refills but we never received a refill on any of the drinks, we only had the initial drink we each started with. My mom told the server that she “may” order a banana pudding to-go, but when we left the restaurant I viewed the receipt that was texted to me and the server charged us for a banana pudding ($13) that we did not order but we never received the banana pudding that she charged us for either. The atmosphere wasn’t lively but they do have music playing, however I heard the same song three times within my hour visit. The servers were not friendly at all and lacked hospitality. Overall, I did not enjoy my experience at Godfrey’s.

Ordered food and the food looked subpar to say the least, the food is normally hot and fresh and presentable however this was not the best and the portions were missing.

Qo here, especially drivers. Under a 5 minute walk from the loves. I ordered jerk chicken, Caribbean rice and ox tail gravy. Don't forget the greens and cornbrrad!! Staff was friendly and inviting, I felt right at home. lot's of people smiling here, which is key. One of my new favorites!! Authentic, friendly and reasonably priced. I be back!!

The food was absolutely delicious. I got the oxtails, coconut rice, and pan cabbage. Unfortunately, I could not eat the oxtails at the restaurant because I was afraid to get elbow deep in them, but I destroyed them when I got home.

I’m so glad I had Godfrey’s at the Pearl location first! If I had not I would not come back. I’m not from MS but was in town for a week. The food was so good at the Pearl location I went twice and decided to get some for the third time but enough to share with my family. This is why I went to this location. This location was nothing like the Pearl location. The lady was rude when taking my order over the phone and in person. The food tasted okay but nothing like the other location. The presentation was not good either. Received a lot less food, the food was 3 dollars cheaper than Pearl. When I checked my food in the car, there was one thing wrong. I went back inside and no one was around. I waited a few minutes and when I could not find anyone or get their attention I called and that prompted the lady to finally come out. I let her know since I could not get anyone’s attention I called to get you to come out, she just stared at me. I advised what was wrong and she questioned me, like I was wrong and looked at me crazy. She then made the correction and said sorry about that. There was No plastic ware included either. This location has is the opposite of Pearl.
