Food was decent, the staff is slow and plays around too much.

The first time should have been the last but I did give it one more try so needless to say I will not be going back
They really needed to have a negative star rating because this would be a negative -5 star

Service were great chicken fried to perfection and the waffle were amazing to me .

4/10 chicken ain’t seasoned.

I literally just finished a Aunties 4 piece. I was headed to Pearl and made a U-turn on Hwy 80 to come here for the first time. They did not disappoint!!! This is some of the best chicken I’ve ever eaten and I’m serious. They cook fresh when you order so you wait about 15 min or more but it’s worth it. Nothing sitting under the light. Don’t let the location fool you. This place is legit! I’m a foodie so I wouldn’t lie to ya.

place says hours are 11 to 6. I made it here noon on a saturday, and it is not even open without prior notice or google update.

I love that this is a black family owned business. Food was great and the customer service was excellent. I highly recommend!

Marcus was a one man band today but he never got frustrated. This man cooked, took order as they came in, took over the phone orders, be a waitress and cashier with a smile! I would definitely recommend and go again.

My friends and I did a thing today. We make a point to patronize black business as the only way to build our communities is to invest and also patronize them as the presence of beautiful, educated, minority consumers is important when changing the perception of an area.Today we went to “Hattie’s Chicken and Waffles”. Is conveniently located off the i20 exit minutes from “The JSU” main campus. The decor in establishment was quaint with an nostalgic ambiance in the heart of the city. It has an awesome patio (me and my friends, we love a patio) and great music. It was an entire vibe. I can definitely see the vision. Most importantly, the food was amazing. This was the epitome of soul food at its finest. The staff was great, very attentive and sweet. I highly recommend others try it out as we were told mimosas are being added to the menu for brunch. I can’t wait!!!

Best chicken hands down ever. Need to be on on TV so the world knows about this hidden gem. I can't even put into words the experience my mouth just went through. From the nashville hot chicken to the Mac and cheese to the fries. Not one thing about this place is just ordinary. Must go. Will drive the 3.5 hours back here just to eat lunch again. Thank you so much for the food and God bless.

I ordered Catfish and I also got 8 piece Family meal with Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious and hot as they cook your food when ordered. I will be back.

I had a feeling for something different today for lunch. We made a stop at Hattie’s Chicken and Waffles. Today’s special was fish and “OH MY GOODNESS”, it was absolutely fantastic. It was hot, well seasoned and cooked just right. I am so happy that we made this our choice. Paying another visit very soon. Thank you for such a delicious meal.
