The food presentation was not that good and it was not tasty like I thought it would be.

The Tuna Tartar pictured was utterly divine. I could have eaten many of these. The rest of the meal was presented excellently, and the Sashimi dinner was mostly good. The octopus, sadly, was rubbery. There is an art form to prepare it. You can't really mess up tuna and salmon. The staff were warm and friendly.

Best spicy tuna roll I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
There were 4 of us. We all ordered different things. One ordered 2 types of dumplings. She didn't like either. Two of us ordered the hibachi. I had steak, and the other person had chicken and steak. It was ok. I added th yum yum sauce, like I would anywhere, and it was not yum yum. The salad was the usual, but it looked like and tasted like the dressing was melting... may e that's the norm for this place, but that didn't go over well. We took home the leftovers and bought some actual yum yum sauce. I tried to eat it, but it tasted worse than it did at the restaurant. I don't think we will make that choice twice.

I am allergic to fish but my friends were ecstatic for the bbq salmon roll.
My chicken was juicy and not drowning in sauce. Perfect.

I visited with my mom for Fondren First Thursday a couple of weeks ago and we sat on the patio. We ordered water with lemon and chicken hibachi plates. My lemon had a gnat on it but we were outside so I tossed the lemon and enjoyed the atmosphere. The crowd was kind of rowdy so when my food came I took a few bites and asked for a to go box. In the lighting, everything looked ok. The next day, I went to reheat my food and noticed hair stuck to the plate. Stirring around I pulled out a few more strands and it was mixed in with the meat. I called my mom and sure enough it was on her plate too. We’ll never be back.

Barely edible. Frozen soggy spring rolls.Chicken is cubed and not fresh. I could go on…maybe my standards are higher than others because I’m from Houston. Confused by the good reviews.

As tasty as Little Tokyo 1. Parking could be a challenge but worth the effort. Have patience, the wait staff are stretched a little thin. Overall, I'll be back because NOM.
