First time ordering from Mr Chen's big mistake. Since I am in a wheelchair I am limited to where I can get takeout. Someone was helping me move and ordered from Mr Chen's and I asked her to just get me a second order and I would pay for mine the food was okay, but if you really want good Chinese food King Buffet is better, much better. Mr Chen's dumplings were overcooked hard and a little bit burned. The General Tso's chicken was not very spicy at all. And there were no vegetables at all in it. They do not offer combos like China King. And I ended up spending twice as much to get the same amount of food as you would have gotten at China King. In my recommendation is drive two blocks further and get better Chinese food. And no this is not a paid advertisement. I just eat a lot of Chinese and Mexican food they're my favorites and if you want to get your money's worth or bang for your buck drive to Beasley. Right next door to InTown Suites at the Shell station, it's worth it.

When they first reopened after renovations, I tried the duck 2 different times and both times it was incredibly greasy - floating in oil. I was really hoping for great food based on the reviews, but was very disappointed. However, my sister really likes the sweet and sour shrimp.

The food is pretty good at the restaurant in the back. But going there the Oriental market is the main attraction.

I started dining at Mr. Chen’s pre-Covid and was elated when they reopened last year. The expansion is absolutely wonderful, and the food is as amazing as ever! Mr. Chen’s offers a genuine, authentic experience with exceptional customer service to boot. If you want what is, in this writer’s opinion, the best Chinese in Mississippi, look no further than the made-to-order scrumptious delicacies of Mr. Chen’s!
Kid-friendliness: Family-friendly environment.
Wheelchair accessibility: All one level, flat surface, easily wheelchair accessible up to and inside the restaurant, including ease of access to tables.

I’m new to the area so I’ve been trying to find some good Chinese food. I googled places and based on the reviews I went to Mr. Chen’s. I placed a to go order for shrimp fried rice and egg rolls. The egg rolls were good although they were tiny, more like spring rolls. The shrimp fried rice was the worst. The rice was so mushy that I could not eat it. It was almost like rice and gravy. I tried to get a feel for the flavor of the rice but I couldn’t get past its texture. I believe the shrimp were fried, but again the mushiness of the rice made everything stick together. $25 dollars wasted on (2) orders of rice & (1) order of egg rolls! Maybe the other food is 5 stars, but the rice is not!

Everything is always good when my son and I visit. Just recently took my mom and aunt and now they can't stay away lol.
Parking: The restaurant is located inside of the grocery store so parking is available.
Kid-friendliness: They are definitely friendly to kids.
