Jamal at the Hattiesburg Newks is amazing! A true make it happen man! I ordered a salad and forgot to get the dressing ordered on the side. When he delivered it and saw the sad expression on my face, he jumped right in and redid the salad with no questions asked. Watching him interact with customers is a joy. He is kind and even fist-bumps. We need more Jamals in the world!
re: Lafayette, LouisianaWeeks ago, I made arrangements for a large group to meet at the Lafayette location. Somehow there was a miscommunication and the Sunday night people were not made aware that we were coming. To make matters worse, by accident, we found out 40 minutes AFTER the restaurant closed for the 4th of July holiday and only an hour and a half before we were scheduled to arrive. So when I called to find out if they were really closed...someone actually, very cheerfully,...
