First time visit to this place on the 1st Sunday. When we saw the line wrapped around the door, I just knew it was going to be worth the wait. A good 20 minutes for my turn in line. I asked for steak, which I heard a person in line ahead of me saying, but it was actually pot roast. The dinners are 3 sides and a main including a fountain drink. I discovered from this dinner that I am greedy because I ate all of it in one sitting. 🤦🏻♀️🫨 Pot roast, black eyed peas over rice, cabbage and dressing. I just know they be in that kitchen blessing the food 🙏🏽 So that was my first soul food restaurant I tried in Jackson and I was completely full and satisfied.

Came in today with the family from Memphis mane and got a hamburger steak over rice with yams and mac. Mane never ever again too much salt in the gravy/ food and you’ll are charging high too. My pregnant a** got heartburn instantly and sick couldn’t even finish my food . Like blood pressure was high ash when I got checked out. Won’t be returning back ever. Taste check you’ll food first before serving or sum period

Found out about Rosie Mae’s when we were heading back to Memphis while being in Jackson for a family reunion. Definitely didn’t disappoint. The yams, greens, catfish, Mac, oxtails. Everything was great.

Lemme just tell yall. The Lord had to give me strength. They had me feeling like they had dug my grandmama up outta her grave and had her throwin down up in that kitchen. Those turkey wings were perfectly seasoned and moist. The collards and squash were outstanding, but that doggone dressin' stole the show. That's the one that really had me gone. ANNNNNNND I MEAN IT REEEEEEALY HAD ME IN MY FEELINS. Don't sleep on that peach cobbler either (it's from da devil🤣🤣🤣🤣)
I actually went 3 days during that week Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Turkey necks and ox tails were in deck those days and all I'm gonna say is...get there and try all of it. I drive well over 20 miles to go there...from right by Northwesr Rankin High School. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Reasonable prices too...Milton

Meatloaf, greens, macaroni and cheese & cornbread. This was my first time here saw it on TikTok. But the meatloaf was a little salty for my taste but the greens and macaroni and cheese and cornbread was good. The staff was very nice and it was packed inside. I'll be back its hard to find places that serve good vegetables. I'll try the famous chicken next time.

A friend of mine eats here most days of week. I decided to visit and was very impressed with service and soul food. There was an elderly AA lady in the kitchen and that’s in itself meant the food was DELICIOUS!! They were very clean and wore hair nets etc. The restaurant is very spacious with plenty of seating. They play all genres of music. I absolutely love the atmosphere but didn’t have time to sit and eat my food. But will go back in future. There is plenty of free parking as you enter off Boling street. I love the color of restaurant which means you can’t miss it. If you are traveling through Jackson and are near Interstate 220, it’s very close and worth the slight detour off I-20. I highly recommend this SOUL FOOD restaurant!!
