Went to Saltines for lovely Monday night dinner. Started off with some fried green tomatoes and they were absolutely amazing! Then we continued with seafood pasta and blackfish and both were great, but nothing topped the cinnamon roll cheesecake. We absolutely loved this dessert as it provided everything you’re looking for to finish up a meal.

Had high hopes after reviewing the menu but was greatly disappointed in our food. The price point is outrageous compared to the quality of the food. We had the (1) crawfish toast which was great, but overpriced, (2) shrimp and crawfish dip which was the most disappointing. It was mainly what tasted like jarred white queso with onions. There wasn't one piece of shrimp in it, (3) Nashville hot chicken which had no seasoning, (4) cinnamon roll cheesecake which I've had before but the cinnamon roll this time was as hard as a rock and a (4) large salad in which we were only given one small ranch dressing container. I really wanted to enjoy this meal but this has turned me away from returning. Oh and having to pay a mandatory $10 for a server tip despite ordering online and being ignored/treated as a nuisance when we came inside to get our order after attending a concert next door made it all even worse. I don't even write reviews but I had to because it was that bad.

Saltine is known for their oysters, but the Saltine Burger and fries absolutely hold their own.
The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The fries were crispy, hot, and the perfect side. You can tell they focus on quality across the board.
The atmosphere has that clean, coastal vibe without feeling over the top, and the service is consistently on point. Whether you’re going for seafood or a solid burger, Saltine always delivers in Jackson.

It was my first time trying Saltine and we loved our experience.. The Marilyn Monroe cocktail was so delicious I got 2. We had the sampler of dozen oysters and they were buttery and fresh. I got the chicken Sandwich with a side of the goat cheese grits and it was so mouthwatering. My boyfriend got the ribeye and loved it. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the cornbread skillet - we had high hopes. The flavor was good but it was on the dryer side and very crumbly. Overall we thought it was great and will definitely be going back to try more.
