The food is so amazing. Every bite is the very definition of southern cuisine. The food is like being in a loving true southern grandma's kitchen.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp available

Always glad to find more places that are opened on Sunday's. First time here, upon walking in, you order cafeteria style at the line. The man usually don't prefer cafeteria style, because usually the food has been sitting out for a min. I don't care, it look bomb They have their daily plates, but on Sunday's they had turkey legs, roast beef, and turkey wing. You can also order literally all of their daily specials a la carte. I got the turkey leg with green beans, greens, and cabbage. He got the fried chicken plate with Mac n cheese, dressing, and stewed okra, we also ordered a whole catfish. Once you pay, you find a table to sit, and someone will bring you your drinks. The line stayed moving and the place constantly had people coming in and out, so the food was hot! Turkey leg was tender, loved my green beans, and cabbage. I've never had okra stewed that way before, it was my first time, with a dash of spicy vinegar, I enjoyed it. I also like my cornbread more sweet than savory, so I ate mine and his We like our Mac n cheese more cheesy with a more sharp salty cheese, this one was more light, almost like ricotta mixed into it, so he wasn't too big of a fan. They forgot our whole catfish, but brought us strips, I ain't complaining, it was crispy, hot, and flaky! Included a menu for yall.

When I come to Jackson to visit, this is my go to spot. Food is great, staff is friendly and extremely hospitable.

Was welcomed with great enthusiasm. Ladies served the food professionally. Hostess checked on me while I dined. Food was absolutely wonderful. ? I also had a to-go order of oxtails over rice. Magnificent. Facility was clean. Restroom was clean. Truckers: I even parked my semi (bobtail) outside. Call first to check for parking. It's not too far from the Petro and Pilot off i20.

Made my first visit to Sweetie Pies. The ladies working the line and table area are phenomenal! Super sweet and attentive! Service is definitely an A+! My lunch consisted of baked chicken, boiled okra and Mac and cheese. Got some peach cobbler as well. Food was decent. Chicken skin was flavorful but the meat could have stood slightly more seasoning. Mac and cheese flavor was good but it was too mushy to me. Boiled okra was my favorite! Peach cobbler reminded me of my grandmother's peach cobbler! I will definitely be back for another meal.

I am writing this review from an Atlanta point of view. TERRIBLE, from the food (old chicken, unseasoned okra, dried corn bread and overly sweet pear cobbler. I must say the only item I did enjoy was the mac and cheese) to the disposition of the staff (attitude when I asked for non traditional 2 piece) and the old dilapidated building. A lot more thought and energy could have been put in place to ensure Ms Robbie's name and legacy was passed on with great easy. This restaurant was thrown together with the name Sweetie Pies slapped on it. I am too embarrassed to even post the pictures that I took. I'm not sure who's writing these reviews, but my experience was far from anything more than 1 star.

Absolutely the best soul food in the area.

Loved this place. Had the catfish, macaroni & cheese, yams, green beans, dressing, mashed potatoes & gravy along with cornbread. It was all verrrrry good. It was pouring down raining when we arrived, but the Sweetie Pies Live staff actually came to our car with an umbrella and escorted us inside one by one. It was 5 of us, too. They were patient with us and the food was excellent. Coming back in September.

Good food, friendly staff. They need to hire me to improve the lighting. Not enough lighting in that building.

0/10!!! This was honestly the worst food I’ve ever had, the Mac and cheese was burnt and drowning in grease. The restaurant doesn’t have a/c, in the middle of summer! Absolutely awful and overpriced for terrible food?THE RESTAURANT ISN’T CLEANED AT ALL, when we sat down there was a bowl of snacks in the middle of the table and the waiter took them and said that those were there from a concert over a week ago !! They definitely do not clean the tables between customers. This place is gross and dirty.

I never knew this place existed until I was traveling through Mississippi on my way to Texas and I was on the phone with my friend Jerry. Jerry is the one who told me about Sweetie Pie's. Apparently this was a childhood show he used to watch. Jerry asked if I could get a picture for him, but being the friend that I am I told him I would have lunch/dinner there due to his curiosity about the food. Bad move on my behalf. I should've turn around when I saw the building/neighborhood. If that wasn't enough to turn me around , when I walked in the building and there stood an armed guard that should've been enough. I continued into the restaurant. I wanted to try this place so Jerry would know if it would be worth a trip. The reason I am giving a 2 star rating is only because the staff was friendly. I picked over a plate here 4 days ago and I am still having stomach pains. This restaurant doesn't offer the option to order from the menu. Whatever is on the buffet is your only option. I am not a buffet type of lady, but for Jerry, I gave it a try. I was traveling with 2 of my children and between the 3 of us this is what we had:Me-Barbecue chicken (boiled not baked and smothered in (barbecue sauce)Mashed potatoes (ugh) no words can describeGreen beans (tasted like the can)Cornbread (I could use this as a weapon, it was haaaard)My daughter-Rice (parboil and not tender)Green beansFried chicken (edible)My son-Fried chicken (edible)Macaroni and cheese (watery)My children said the food tasted like school lunch. For the $65.99 I paid for three meals, I should've went to McDonald's.
