I love it! Excellent customer service @ good fresh donuts!
Daylight Donuts features fresh and delicious donuts and lovely croissant breakfast sandwiches featuring egg and cheese and either bacon or sausage. Among the donut selections are creme filled donuts, such as white creme filling, chocolate cream, custard filling, berry filling and other fruit choices. The croissants in the breakfast sandwiches are made in-house and have a great consistency. The energetic and kind owner of this location hails from Austin, Texas, and he has brought to Jackson an Austin, TX styled menu item of kolaches. His kolaches feature homemade dough pastry around some of the best hot dogs. The regular kolache features cheese with the hot dog. There is also a cheese with jalapenos option. (Do try those too-not too spicy). The kolaches come in a large size (meaning size of regular hotdog) and a smaller size. You could easily buy these kolaches in morning (when you get your donuts & coffee) as a lunch item to enjoy later in the day. They'd also be great by the dozen as treats post little league games even or after other sports events or church or family gatherings. Anyone who enjoys a good hotdog (like the kind you get at a MLB ballpark) will enjoy these kolaches. Part of the fun is that the pastry dough of the kolache encircles the hotdog, so each bite includes the fresh, soft pastry dough. Service at the donut shop is personable, polite and efficient. Please give these donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and kolaches a try, if you have not already. Daylight Donuts is open every day from 5:00am-1:00pm.
Clean establishment. Friendly service. Fair prices and a delicious variety of donuts. But seriouly get a Kolache, You wont't regret it!!
I live this place! My son and I stop here every morning before I take him to school. The service is great and the donuts are the bomb. The cinnamon rolls are awesome!!!
This was a wonderful place while it lasted, but it has closed. Apparently this happened just before Christmas. Since then all of the fixtures have been removed and the phone is disconnected. (That's probably why you got re-sourced cookies, Leslie. Can't imagine they'd have done that otherwise!) Don’t know what happened because they seemed to have plenty of business, to the extent that they were sometimes sold out early when, for example, there were soccer tournaments nearby and multiple teams would come in and literally clean them out. I know the owner/baker, Phillip, had had some health issues; hope nothing happened to him. I also know he needed some help and was never able to find anyone willing to learn and put in the necessary hours.
I ordered 2 dozen Christmas cookies from this so-called bakery and they were GROCERY STORE cookies put into a box and sold as their own! He didn't anymore BAKE those cookies than I did...I could have bought the exact same cookies at Walmart, Kroger, Cost Saver or McDade's and have seen the same cookies he sold me at all 4 places. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!!!
