We had a great experience here. First time eating Thai sushi, it did not disappoint. Quality, fresh ingredients in all the dishes. Very nice setting and eating area with an atrium. They were out of a number of dishes and ingredients which was disappointing because it was still on the menu…

Tuk Tuk Boom is an excellent spot. The space is clean and well-kept, and the food tastes fresh with quality ingredients. Portions are modest, but the dishes are flavorful, delicious, and consistent. Seating is limited due to the small footprint, though service is quick and efficient. The self-serve spicy sauce selection is a strong plus, and Sunday happy-hour specials are appreciated. I’d bring friends from out of town here for a quick, reliable bite. Covered outdoor seating is available but better suited for warmer weather. Overall, clean, delicious, and consistently good.

I’ve ordered delivery from this restaurant multiple times and the food has always been decent. It doesn’t quite stand out to me compared to other Thai restaurants in the area, but a solid place to go on a lunch break! However, I’ve had two in-person experiences that made me a bit uncomfortable.

The first and last time I did a pick up order, an employee followed me outside in his car, rolled down his window, and started trying to flirt with me while I was walking to my vehicle. It just made me a bit uncomfortable but I didn’t let that experience represent the restaurant as a whole.

Most recently, I planned to dine in with my mom, but ended up having an emergency and immediately asked if we could switch the order to to-go instead. The staff member confirmed my name and order, and told us we were all set for the to-go order. When the food was ready, it was still taken to the table. Once corrected, an employee came back holding what I now know was my order (He never announced the order). When I approached the counter, he was holding the bag like he was about to hand it to me but then instead, when he saw me he just set the bag down somewhere off to the side, completely turned away from me, and started talking to a different customer who just came in, calling her order by the name on the ticket, and placing her order directly into her hand. I just had to awkwardly pick up my bag and leave while he ignored me. They didn’t even set the bag in the to go section either it just felt a bit malicious 😭

Honestly it was hurtful and made me uncomfortable because I felt like I was being treated differently, and I’m cautious especially seeing the contrast between my treatment and the white woman that they ignored me to serve instead. I completely understand if they are unable to change the orders to to-go after they are placed--that is not an issue for me at all! But that should’ve been communicated instead of telling me that I was all set for a to-go order, then brushing me off.

This was just my experience, it’s likely that based on who you are you might be treated better or have a better experience but it was disappointing and I definitely don’t feel comfortable going back. The food is okay but not enough to make up for it. There are a lot of genuine restaurants that serve authentic food and have very friendly staff like Thai Time or Siam Thai — so tasty and i’ve had nothing but awesome experiences!

I had a great first time experience!! I went for a random solo birthday lunch and the team was so phenomenal and attentive. There was a slight hang up with my order..but no worries the manager..I believe her name was A.K., came and told me what was going on and had great customer service. I had a yummy coconut margarita as I waited! I loved the atmosphere. The dish I order tasted sooooo good, so it was worth it in the end! Will come back again! Jackson location is waaaay better than Madison. The food quality is better and they give you larger portions.

We had a wonderful experience at Tuk Tuk at the Madison location. It is a very charming and warm environment. Cannot wait to go back great overall experience.

Been in JXN for 3 years and just tried Tuk Tuk! Thankfully, the staff knew what vegan meant and gladly put the order for me. There are a few other options on the menu that can be made vegan, but I’ve only tried the pad Thai so far. The portions are delicious and the pad Thai is super flavorful. The cocktail menu also looked great so I’ll be back to try that another day! Tons of outdoor seating and seating indoors as well.

Absolutely wonderful! The staff was friendly, the inside was clean, and the food was absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable as well. I like that they had a little spice bar if you wanted to add more kick to your meal. I’ll definitely be a regular!
