I was told best fish in town. The fish was regular catfish but tried to perfection, no tarter sauce and my salad was just lettuce.

My husband placed 2 pantrout dinner orders and added okra around 2:15. He was told it was going to take 50 mins for the order to be ready. He arrived around 3:05, and the order wasn’t ready. The order wasn’t ready until 4:12. When he made it home with our dinner it was small cut up pieces of pantrout. The fish was hard and overcooked. The salad was shredded lettuce with nothing on it. This was a bad experience for me. November 27, 2024

This was definitely a hole in the wall spot. Customer service could use a little bit of work. The food was okay. Not somewhere I would probably go again.

Parking: Had to park on the side of the street and lighting was not that good on the neighborhood street.

I absolutely love Valley St Fish, when I have a fish craving this is my go to place. The only thing I dislike is that this place has probably been in business since before I was born and they have don’t no upgrades to the building or parking. You would think with all these centuries of being in business they would make some improvements to the place. You also have to have life insurance to park and cross the street to get to the building as traffic is horrendous. Other than this it’s the best fish place in the city.

The fried fish was delicious. Travelled to Jackson from Seattle and I wanted some fish. I was told to go to Valley Street Fish House and believe me it was worth the trip. They exceeded my expectations.

Valley Street Fish is always good. Even when slightly reheated (leftovers).

Valley Street is known for its delicious perfectly cooked fish Top of the line deliciousness..I came from Illinois, but to make sure I ordered ;again perfectly cooked fish. Color, ,flavor, andJust the right price as long as that price stays the same until I come back this year.
