All the reviews said go to this place, so in our visit we did. Great Choice. I had the flounder served over spinsch with crab meat and if you like spinach, you will love this meal. My wife had the special with the Triple Tail over a sweet corn and again excellent. Maybe the freshest and best Caesar Salad I have ever had. If you are visiting Jackson, MS, do not miss this place.

I appreciated the local feel of this restaurant. It really does look like an old drive in from the outside, and when you walk in, it feels like a combination of an upscale diner/speak easy/bistro. I went for a business meal as it was recommended by another local business. It was very busy and wait staff was nice. We had a crab appetizer which was good but there wasn't much crab. I had the sea bass which was alright and did not taste super fresh. I also thought the side dishes were too starchy and then ordered brussells sprouts for some veggies. The brussells were very good. I should have listened to my colleagues and ordered a local fish instead. My colleagues ordered steak which they really liked. I would go back and order a different fish next time.

O. M. G. I just had the best meal that I have had in ages. Here I was talking about Jackson not being a foodie town. Walker’s drive-in was spectacular. I sat at the counter which was very snazzy. The service was excellent. I had a soft shell crab, flash fried with a garlic butter sauce. Then the foie gras, over delicious crostini and a salty raspberry sauce to die for. I ended the meal with a cornbread blueberry compote upside down cake with homemade vanilla ice cream. Stuffed. And happy.

Not knowing anything about the restaurant, we were definitely a little wary of having a “nice” dinner at a diner. Now we get it! It’s a charming 1940s retrofitted diner with James Beard chefs and a great vibe. The wine and whiskey lists were great and the menu had a wide variety of options. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The tables are somewhat close together, and we loved chatting with the friendly diners near us. Do not miss this place when you’re in Jackson!

Fun eclectic converted diner with some interesting southern dishes. Had the daily meatloaf which was excellent and cocktails were on spot as well.

Absolutely thrilled and surprised that this kind of quality is sitting right there in the Fondren section of Jackson! I live in New York and have traveled all over Europe...and honestly you can't get much better. Everything I ordered was superb. I went back twice on my recent visit home to Mississippi... The city should commend you for bringing such excellence to town!
Walker's is my all-time favorite restaurant in Jackson. The food is always outstanding and the service is always exceptional.

I had diner there last week. There was sudden, pouring rain that evening, and I arrived completely drenched. The staff did not flinch, seated me graciously and I had the red fish specialty that was beyond good. (Since I had my luggage with me, I changed in the bathroom, and except for my hair, I was a bit more presentable). So amazing team, delicious food and great atmosphere. Good on all fronts! Thank you.

Wonderful dinner, great service & excellent food!! Highly recommend eating at Walker’s Drive and make reservations if you can! We started with 2 appetizers: calamari & oysters - both were great choices! They have an extensive wine list as well! The Redfish Anna was highly recommended on TripAdvisor as well as by our waitress and it didn’t disappoint- perfectly cooked fish with a fantastic sauce! I had the veal and lobster over risotto which was also a great dish! Our friends had the Reddish as well and the scallops which had a wonderful sear on them. The desserts were also wonderful - we had the brownie and the fried pie with peanut butter & strawberry filling (which changes weekly we were told). We will definitely dine here again if we are in the area!!
