We seen this place back when I had my second surgery here in Jackson. We were looking for a good bbq spot to try. We got there and they were closing. TODAY we went back to try it. We like new places. They have that wood smelling good on that grill. So excited, we got the rib tips green beans and corn. We just got back to the hospital and started eating and immediately, now we wish we had went somewhere. The rib tips have amazing flavor, I do admit. BUUUT they were SO EXTREMELY CHEWY DRY, LIKE HOME MADE BEEF JERKY. My fiancé WILL NOT eat them. Oooh and he is PIST PIST.YALL GOTS TO DO BETTER. $15 isn't bad first the price. But we want fresh food. It's like we got what had been back there from yesterday. When I get dry meat and a few HARD pieces of RIB TIPS, that's not my place to go back to any more.

I just left there and thought I had me some good rib tip. I mean they had them suckas smelling SOOO DELICIOUS. YOU KNOW THEY Smoke their meat with real wood and all. Got back to this hospital AND OH MY GOD. THE WORST RIB TIPS I'VE EVER HAD. I couldn't and will NOT EAT THIS. THEY GAVE US SOME HOOD NOT GOOD BUT HOOD SMOKED BEEF JERKY. If we wasn't so far I'd brought the whole plate back. $15 gone down the drain. WOODHOUSE GRILL BAR and Lounge, YOU WILL NEVER SEE USAGAIN. Lucky I can't add this picture so y'all can see this dry beef jerky..

I can't make the drive from Dallas just to get those ribs again, but it sure is tempting. It was my first time back in the south since I was nine years old and I wanted to have the real deal. Boy these did not disappoint! And the beans and Mac sides were amazing. You can do sauce on or sauce on the side. Like any bbq connoisseur, I opted for on the side. Ribs are amazing on their own, but a little sauce on them did take it to an even higher level. Thank you and please support this business so they will be there the next time I'm passing through!

So happy to have found this gem. The food was awesome. If you like barbecue, you'll definitely be satisfied. They obviously use hickory or some type of wood chunks that give the meat a delightful flavor. You get the entree plus two sides and a drink for about 20 bucks; very affordable price for a meal. The ribs were tender & tasty. Baked beans reminded me of my own. And the collard greens were perfect. They will surely see me again.
