While the overall atmosphere was great, the first thing wrong was the smell. There was a rotten, moldy smell as I walked to the back to the bar. The food was just ok, I would try it again (get something different). I didn't like the guacamole, it was just bland. I had to add lime and pico to get some flavor in it. The pico wasn't that great.
Food was average-good, and service was good. Got Chicken Soup, usually a safe bet and not very carb heavy. The broth was good, but we could tell the soup was premade, and the very tender white meat chicken just dropped on top, and not cooked in the broth. It was a good size portion for lunch. We were just passing through town and stopped at this restaurant. I had the Chillis Pablanos and a Jumbo Strawberry Frozen Margarita. They did not skimp on the alcohol. I asked for the "Special Sauce on the side and was happy as it just wasn't something that I prefer. The portions were really good, the Pablanos large and full.
