I ordered online and was a few minutes early and the food was waiting for me. They were very busy at the time but I food was ready when I got there. The fish was good but the cooking oil has gotten to the end of it's time.

I never leave reviews, but my latest experience was so bad that I want to save anyone the trouble of wasting their money. My lady and I drove over 30 minutes for a “date night” to sit at the table for 45 minutes before receiving any food. The shrimp and crab dip was straight cream cheese in a bowl. I asked the waitress to remove it from the table. When we received our food, they forgot half of it and my steak was so overcooked I could have paid 8 dollars for beef jerky from the Loves truck stop down the road. My lady didn’t even try her steak after getting a baked potato that was so overcooked that she only took one bite. I will not drive over 30 minutes to eat there and spend 60+ dollars for 2 people and not have anything edible hit the table. This place use to be a favorite of mine in Laurel, but after this it will be the last time I walk through the doors. The food and service has steadily gone downhill since I started going and tonight was the last time.

We had a party of 10 I think. The server was awesome, nice and had the menu items down pat. And we didn't have to wait long on any food at all. Salad came out quick and freshhhhhh. Loved the fried green tomatoes can't go wrong with that. I ordered the hamburger steak and it was one of my better ones. Will be attending some more meeting. To try other food on the menu.

Had a horrible waitress Sam . She was racist and treated us like crap. And when we didn’t leave her what she thought she deserved she huffed and puffed while we were right there.

I would leave no stars if I could! Stopped to pick up lunch before my train ride, I ordered the crab cakes platter when placing my order my first question was is it real crab meat or fake crab? I was told it was real crab. Ok Placed my order checked my food it appeared ok. The fries are horrible, the crab was fake, I ordered Cole slaw that was missing. My lunch on the train was horrible. I started breaking out with eczema because of allergies! Imitation crab is a bunch of chemicals mixed together not real crab out of a shell! I have Tried this restaurant twice I would not go again! The hostess was very pleasant, I was very disappointed with my order absolutely hate fake crab! I paid $19 including tip for this mess! Blue crab serves fake crab cakes! They should be ashamed! How you call yourself a crab house and serve fake crab? If I wasn’t on the train I would have definitely taken this crap back! I just want a light semi healthy meal after a cleanse and I paid for this crap! Shame

The Blue Crab Grill was a great place to eat! Our group had the Coastal Steamer with shrimp, sausage, potatoes & corn. Being a very picky seafood eater, I am usually not thrilled with seafood boils at restaurants but this one was excellent! We also had the fried green tomatoes and shrimp/crab dip, both of which I would also recommend. To top off the great food, we had one of the best servers I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Her name was Rachael G, so ask for her if you're ever in the area and get the chance to eat here!

Wanted so much to love it because I love good seafood and it was one of the few places to eat open on Monday in Laurel. I ordered several things to taste based off of good reviews that I’d read. The crab bread was tasty. But anything would be good mixed with cream cheese and cheese and broiled on a baguette. Crab cakes were mushy with no crisp to them, while seafood gumbo had not one piece of seafood or sausage. It was a miss for me. One pet peeve I have as a solo traveler is when I’m seated in a corner or out-of-the-way, undesirable table solely because I’m not with anyone. Yep- that was where I was seated here so I was ready to leave before the food was served.
