“Great catfish and shrimp. The corn ribs were a new eating experience and they were delicious too. Excellent service and conversation with other local customers who dine there often was very encouraging with their numerous return visits. Prices very reasonable and the restaurant was spotless. We were there for lunch July 23rd.”
“An actual coffee that doesn’t taste burnt or full of WAY too much syrup…plus the people and atmosphere are legit!”
“Adorable outdoor place with shaded seating. Great food. Friendly staff. Even though there was a long line at lunch it moved swiftly. I also recommend getting the marshmallow fluff for your sweet potato fries.”
“We had diner there last evening, the staff and the food were great. It popped up on google as a buffet, in the end we were glad it wasn't, the food was excellent and were checked on often during our meal.”

“A California girl who lives in the south always in search for authentic Mexican food. It’s rare to actually find one, and it’s here in Laurel, Ms. We were traveling from Tennessee to Nola, and figured we’d stop here for some lunch. It did not disappoint!!! It’s no different than the meals I would eat in Juarez when visiting and in my home town - also the service is unmatched and it’s close to the freeway. I would definitely be hitting this spot every weekend if it weren’t for the drive. Y’all get you some real Mexican food!”

“First place me and my husband came to when we drove into town, literally off the highway to here. Immediately became our favorite spot! Best Po Boys in town, Gumbo to warm your soul, fries are to die for and much more. Owner is the best and had my husbands order down by the third visit! lol It’s months later and this is still our go to spot since moving here 7 months ago!”
“I don't want to not recommend this place but today was just awful. There were two tables of people there today including us so no crowd at all. We ordered 2 grilled cheese sandwiches one wrap and 3 waters. I don't know what the deal was but it took 45 minutes to receive our order. I finally walked up to check and they were just getting around to it. my son said the kid at the counter had no business dealing with customers. It was unacceptable we should have left but we had already paid and the kids were hungry. We wanted coffee but figured it was a lost cause. Thought you should know”
“It is a very clean restaurant. The people are friendly and the food is amazing.”

“This is a old fashion place that is great. I am old. LOL The burgers are just like old time burgers. The ice cream was great. The staff friendly. And it is really cheap for what you get.”
“We ate there Tuesday and service was excellent. Our server was awesome. Her name was Phoebe she was so helpful and just genuinely nice.”

“I ordered eggplant parmigiana , hubby spaghetti w/marinara sauce
Eggplant sliced thin , stacked with cheeses and a good basil sauce. Hubby liked his entree, also . Had glaases of pino noir. Generous pours for $8.00. New server. Had a couple questions she couldn't answer but should have asked so she can know for other customers. She was very sweet.”
“Kinda unusual to get Mexican food through the drive thru 🥴.....bc the food was just as it would have been if we'd dined in. I was impressed with that, however the menu was hard to decipher and had lil trouble understanding the person taking our order. We did not wait long and everything we needed was in the bag. Not really fast food though.
It just happened to have a drive thru 😊”
“I know Hardee's in New Ulm MN has had some issues, but I went there today and was more than impressed! there were at least four people working there and they were so friendly and the food came really fast. it was fresh and hot and delicious! I can't wait to go there again, it looks like they have really pulled it together!”
“Everything they sell is good, but the queso birria tacos are my favorite!”

“Delicious.. Everything was perfect. I started with the jalapeno margarita and the Mississippi egg rolls.. Neither were lacking in flavor. I ordered the 12oz ribeye with crab, shrimp and be Blanc sauce with brussel sprouts and a warm spinach salad. Wonderful. Finished with the bread pudding.. The staff and owners were very friendly and inviting. I can't wait to go back.”
“It was good i always get the italian herbs and cheese with the buffalo and mayo teriyaki chicken toasted with olives jalapenos and banana peppers i like the spicy stuff also the rasberry cheesecake cookies are amazing my favorite cookie of all time! The only thing i dislike is their new sweet onion sause BEWARE of the new onion sause its disgusting bring back the original one!”
“I’ve eaten there so many times over the years I’ve lost count. Laurel has very little to choose from to begin with so it’s not like there’s any competition locally. I’ve never once got sick, the buffet hasn’t got a large selection but that’s a actually a plus. It’s always fresh. Their fried wontons are like no other in the country, I’ve never eaten one at any other place in several states that even come close.”
“We stopped in on Father's day and it was quite busy. Food was not slow arriving. Some new decor today. I ordered the bacon Cheeseburger with onion rings. It was so very good I did not save any to take home. My family has been back in Jones county for six years now and we have always been pleased with the restaurant. The certainly is a wide mixture of customers witch is good. The 320 downtown is closing which should give this location a customer boost. In summary, we enjoyed it much. Krystal (?sp) was our server. Carter at desk desk is always taking good care of customers.”
“I’m a truck driver, traveling from New Orleans, I stopped by Hardee’s the three ladies they greeted me very nicely. The restaurant was very clean and I couldn’t believe the general manager was on night shift. That’s says a lot about management and customer service. The food was fresh and my cashier Amber was very nice and her smile lit up the room. I will definitely return to Hardees on Chantilly Street”

“A must stay historic home in downtown Laurel Mississippi. Surround yourself in charming antiquities and be prepared to be pampered by Jenny. Peaceful and quaint with a lot of Southern hospitality. Breakfast was amazing!”
“I really enjoy the food at Stringer’s to Go In Laurel, Mississippi! The food is fresh and tastes really good! I have enjoyed both the catfish and the shrimp along with the hush puppies. They are friendly and the service is quick. The only thing I would say is that they do not have salt for you to add onto your food which to me would improve the service a lot. I’ll just bring my own salt next time!”
“Don’t sleep on Classic Cookie!! We “always have and always will” order our cakes from here. My personal favorite is all chocolate icing but my sweet boy wanted a Spider-Man design and was thrilled when he opened the box to find this. It’s also not uncommon for us to swing by and grab all of the mini critters available in their case. I appreciate the owners and their dedication to this business for so many years as well as their customer service. 🍪”

“Tokyo Restaurant in Laurel absolutely blew me away from the moment I sat down to the moment I left, completely stuffed and completely happy. I ordered a sashimi platter, and it was honestly one of the most beautiful plates of food I’ve ever been served in Laurel.
The presentation alone deserves its own round of applause – a generous variety of sashimi laid out over crisp greens and shredded carrots, with cucumber cut into gorgeous decorative slices, fresh ginger, and wasabi tucked in just right. Every piece of fish was silky, fresh, and perfectly cut, with that clean ocean flavor and melt‑in‑your‑mouth texture that you only get when a kitchen really cares about quality. As someone who works with food every day, I pay attention to details like knife work, texture, and temperature, and Tokyo absolutely nailed it.
Their menu is huge in the best way, and you can tell they’ve built it to give Laurel true Japanese comfort food and hibachi experiences all in one place. They offer a long list of classic and specialty sushi rolls, sashimi, sushi bar dinners and boats, plus hibachi dinners with chicken, steak, shrimp, scallops, lobster, and combination plates that come with soup, salad, fried rice, noodles, and vegetables. There are also teriyaki and tempura dishes, Japanese fried rice, noodles, and even kid’s hibachi options, so literally everyone at the table can find something they love.
The service matched the food, which says a lot. Everyone was very nice, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating the entire time I was there. Questions were answered with a smile, and they made sure everything came out exactly the way I wanted it without ever making me feel rushed. It’s the kind of relaxed, genuinely friendly service that makes you settle in and really enjoy your meal.
On top of all that, Tokyo is one of the few places in Laurel where you can get both a full hibachi table experience and high‑quality sushi and sashimi in one spot. Whether you’re craving a stunning sashimi platter like I had, creative rolls, or a sizzling hibachi dinner, this place needs to be on your regular rotation. Tokyo Restaurant just became one of my favorite spots in Laurel, and I’ll be recommending it to everyone who asks where to go for an amazing meal.”
“This place is an entire vibe! The staff is amazing, the musician last night set the mood perfectly and the steak was DELICIOUS! 10/10 recommend when visiting Laurel.”
“Coffee and food are always perfect! Everything is clean and fast. Pick up orders are always on time and fresh! Best place in town!”

“I always stop here when I am visiting from NOLA. The best donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee drinks in town! The staff are very nice and friendly, and prodessional. The donuts are very light, fluffy and tasty, and also great when I put leftover donuts in the microwave the next day. My only go to place for donuts in Laurel!”

“6/20/26 This morning we went in for breakfast the waitress came over to take our order I told her the table needs to be wiped off first she said that would wiped the table off after she take the order. So she left I told my friend she have no intention of wiping this table off that had sticky stuff all over it. About 45 minutes later she brings food out we told her we didn't want our food sat on a nasty table so lady behind us had just left to keep from cleaning the table where we were sitting at she ask us to move so we did the food was cold. Then a white man came and sit at the table she ask him to move but he wanted that table just like we did cause it was quite behind the door . That lady went back to the registry and stood around playing on phone awhile later a white ldy came and wipe the table off I don't guess there was a supervisor out there if so she was telling them they job. We had to bring half our food home cause it was cold as ice I guess she just let it sit up there. If I go back out there don't want her waiting on me never.”
“Last week I took a group of second graders there for lunch after a field trip. I called ahead and they were so very prepared for us. They had a plan to stream line their orders where there would be no mix ups. They were kind, helpful. My students and parent chaperones enjoyed the experience. The manager and each worker that assisted us got an A++.It was truly a pleasure! :)”
“Ciara was an excellent server and took great care of us! She made sure our drinks were filled and the food came out quickly. Despite her running around taking care of other tables she made us feel like we were the only ones in the dining room.. best service we’ve had in a while to be honest. I got the ultimate sampler and my girlfriend got the chicken wrap… food was hot and fresh and we will definitely be back soon! Thanks again Ciara!”

“If you go to McDonald's, you might want to sit in the line. They really don't pay too much attention to you inside. They rude as hell. Bathrooms be disgusting and lobby trashed because they always packed. One girl tried to help them by cleaning because she was trying to get a job there and he kicked her out and banned her from the restaurant. Management rude and bougie. . .

“Outstanding food! The ribs, sauce, sides, everything knocked it out of the park. Staff is incredible! When we pulled up and saw the crowd we knew we were in the right place, well worth the wait. Will be back!!”
