“Great bbq stand, right next to Love’s. I ordered a two meat plate with pulled pork and brisket. I got coleslaw and baked beans for my included sides. I paid $20 for the food.Meat was great. Tender, succulent, delicious. Both were lean with just the right amount of fat for my taste and preferences. Not a lot of seasoning either, so very meaty.Sides were okay. The coleslaw had too much mayonnaise for my taste; very creamy. I prefer a balanced mix of mayonnaise and vinegar. The baked beans were good. Flavorful and a little spicy, had some peppers in it. The bread roll was bad. I think it was one of those frozen types. I’d recommend just giving out cheap white bread.BBQ sauce tasted store-bought; if it’s homemade, I can’t tell. Traditional sweet style, like Sweet Baby Ray’s. Honestly, they should pair the meat with a vinegar-based sauce, like Carolina-style, to help balance the richness of the meat. That would be insanely good.Service was great, ladies were very nice. I didn’t stay and eat but the seating and environment was good. They didn’t have all the sides and drinks on the menu available; no big deal to me though.I will be back for more. I would probably just go for the meat by the pound and skip the sides next time.“
“Interesting place to eat. My group enjoyed their time here. You order at the counter.Food was good. Canned pop (Better than fountain drinks)Lots of car parking. Wheelchair accessible. Washrooms are large. They had a drive-thru. It was very busy.Parking: Parking on both sides of the buildingWheelchair accessibility: Ramp at front of the building.“
“We went with our Jeep group to dinner here for the first time. It was great and the people were super friendly. The steaks are awesome and so was the brisket. The mac-n-cheese could use some work but everything thing else made up for it. We will definitely go back again!“
“Visited via the drive-thru on Monday March 11 while in Laurel, MS. Staff was wonderful! Neither of us could hear each other clearly over the "squawk -box" so she asked me to pull up to the window. She (didn't get this beautiful Sistah's name) was wonderful at guiding me through the menu, suggesting items, and explaining the different sauces. Food is great! Well-seasoned meats and vegetables. My friend and I had one of our best meals in Laurel at Dickey's BBQ Pit!“
“I went there when they weren't all that busy, and the waitress didn't come by that often. I'm the kind of person who doesn't like to be interrupted constantly by a waiter/waitress asking how I like the meal or whatever, but even then I feel like they could have attended my table a little more. Still loved the food though!“
“This place has been open for 1.5 yrs. How have I not heard of this place? A relative took us today for the first time. The best time to arrive is when they open at 11am so you can get a parking spot and seat inside. It's a casual setting. When you go in you order and pay at the counter, they call your name and bring your order to your table. They give you a beverage cup when you place you order and it's self serve. We had a couple of 4 x4 plates to try a variety. We are not rib eaters because they are usually too much fat on the them. The ribs and brisket were lean and perfect. The fried okra was came out hot and delicious. You can order meats fatter but that just the way we prefer them. As you can see from the photos lots of food. You will have left overs. For dessert, I was told we had to have it. So we shared. Not sure what the name was but it reminded me of a honeybun. Staff was really friendly, place was really clean, and the food was really really good! We will definitely be back and telling others. You can call in an order and pickup or dine in. You are missing a treat if you have not tried this place. Enjoy“
“Hog Heaven has delicious food, astonishing workers, and great prices. They just catered my sister in laws wedding and they were the friendliest people. They helped with ANYTHING. The pulled pork is the best I have ever eaten. We had plenty of everything left over and have been eating on it for days. They are the hardest workers. All for a wonderful price vs other catering services!! They kept everything stocked, even things that they weren’t responsible for. They traveled all the way from Laurel to Purvis and did an outstanding job. If you want an event catered, this is the way to go!“
