“I think this might have been the only restaurant open when we rolled into this little town. Food was typical Subway. The girl who made our food was wonderful. Very personal and funny. Glad she was out sandwich maker.”
“I just had the most delicious Carmel coffee ever! Usually I get coffee with Carmel on the bottom. They added some creamer today, wow! This McDonald's has the freshest made sandwiches in the County, btw.”
“THE go to place for breakfast or brunch when visiting Laurel. The sweet & spicy bacon is a treasure all unto itself!!The staff is wonderful and kind. The food is amazing reasonably priced. A must visit location for all tourists and locals.”
“The Richey Rich Concrete was a great treat! I liked the games that people can play outside. The location near the roundabout is different... unique! I'll definitely be frequenting this shop again!”
“Man this place was delicious. I had brisket, macaroni and cheese, and sweet potato casserole… it was excellent. I took my son who had pulled pork. It was melt in your mouth delicious.”
“In town for a few days and kept coming back to this place! The caldo de pollo is my favorite. Service is always fast and friendly. They don't have a drink menu, but they did make me a lovely mango margarita upon request.”
“Service was great and the food was wonderful everything was hot when brought to table the staff was awesome made you feel at home will definitely be going back for ”
“We ate a late lunch here on the recommendation of some local folks. Great food and really good people. The hamburger steak was fantastic and my wife got the chicken fried steak which was also good. You could probably order anything off the menu and it’d be great.”
“I've been eating here for a long time & I have Never had a bad experience. The food is Always Hot & Fresh and the Service is superior. The prices are fair and if you don't get here early then good luck. Last Dragon fills up quickly especially on a weekend.”
“Awesome Outdoor Atmosphere!Excellent Ice cream and very friendly staff! We have members of our family that have to eat gluten free and they not only have ice cream that is gluten free but they also have the cones! Our daughter ordered the gluten free cone and since the serving was small they offered her a cup and two cones!Great experience. We will def be back!”
“Great bbq stand, right next to Love’s. I ordered a two meat plate with pulled pork and brisket. I got coleslaw and baked beans for my included sides. I paid $20 for the food.Meat was great. Tender, succulent, delicious. Both were lean with just the right amount of fat for my taste and preferences. Not a lot of seasoning either, so very meaty.Sides were okay. The coleslaw had too much mayonnaise for my taste; very creamy. I prefer a balanced mix of mayonnaise and vinegar. The baked beans were good. Flavorful and a little spicy, had some peppers in it. The bread roll was bad. I think it was one of those frozen types. I’d recommend just giving out cheap white bread.BBQ sauce tasted store-bought; if it’s homemade, I can’t tell. Traditional sweet style, like Sweet Baby Ray’s. Honestly, they should pair the meat with a vinegar-based sauce, like Carolina-style, to help balance the richness of the meat. That would be insanely good.Service was great, ladies were very nice. I didn’t stay and eat but the seating and environment was good. They didn’t have all the sides and drinks on the menu available; no big deal to me though.I will be back for more. I would probably just go for the meat by the pound and skip the sides next time.”
“The best tacos in Laurel. #1 Friendly service. Old school vibe. Anything and everything on the menu is good. Best queso dip in town. Best Birria I've had within several hours.”
“Was recommended by Mike from the Ben and Erin's show "Home Town". Highly recommend after we had lunch there. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was amazing and not over priced, the portions we got were great, truly satisfied.”
“What a gem--whole fried fresh catfish cooked to perfection! The fried mushroom appetizer was yum--with so many mushrooms! They have a varied selection of seafood and the wait staff was first rate! Though not a huge dining space, it was clean, family-friendly and very enjoyable. Again, it was a place where locals dined and came for take-out!”
“I was told that the buffalo wings were second to none so my expectations were very high when I walked through the door. I must say that I was not disappointed. Excellent experience.”
“The food here is first rate. If you love thin, crisp, fresh chips to dip in salsa, you will love this place as I do! Our appetizer was one of their many nacho plates. My husband ordered a chicken taco salad, while I chose the loaded baked potato. The portions were so large that we needed 2 large "to go" boxes. The service was fast & efficient--very little wait time for anything--especially drink refills (and my husband can keep a waiter busy with his many water glass refills). It appeared to be mainly locals dining there (very family friendly), which we loved since we are from South Carolina & appreciate restaurants that locals frequent. This is a restaurant that we would gladly revisit and the prices were better than many of the more celebrated places we visited.”
“Stopped in looking for a beer and local vibe. Had one of the best times in years soaking up conversation with friendly staff and locals. Ashley the bartender is fabulous young lady with so much knowledge as a young woman.Would go out of the way to come back ”
“My mom and I are visiting from Florida for the Hattiesburg 1/2 marathon and this place was recommended to us by the AT&T store manager in Midtown Hattiesburg. We are so glad we did! Sam our server did such an exceptional job making sure our dietary needs were covered. Mom and I are gluten sensitive and so can have a difficult time eating southern food, especially battered food, so when we found out that they use corn flour for their jumbo shrimp, we asked about the fried green tomatoes. Score!! They made it with cornmeal and no wheat flour with the best sauce! So glad we came. The ambiance, the food, and the service. Top notch!”
“A fun place but if you don’t hit it at the right time, you will not get in or or have to stand in a very long line. The options are up on the wall and they ran out of them as we were waiting in line. They did add additional items as things ran out. The fried chicken was very tender and the sides were very yummy. The fried pork chop was pretty good, and Miss Pearl came around and greeted the customers and she was such a character.”
“I like this restaurant a lot for the customer service. The prices went up a little bit recently but they're not unreasonable. The food is decent, it's just very mild compared to what I grew up with. Solid 4.5 stars.”
“The service was outstanding…. Very nice and friendly staff! The food, if possible, was even better! If you’re around this place, do not pass up the chance to experience greatness at its finest!”
“The staff are amazing, super friendly, making a person feel welcome. The Management very professional and helpful, everyone was working together as a team. Food was fresh and tasty!”
“Nice bunch of young people. Greet you with a smile ? and repeat your order for accuracy offer condiments and thank you before you leave. Keep up the good work guys..”
“We ate breakfast at Lee's Coffee & Tea recently and throughly enjoyed the experience :-) Tip: They serve a crustless quiche here which is worth checking out My friend and I each ordered egg sandwiches, and asked for them with avocado and cheese. I added a pumpkin spice latte to my order and was really glad that I did!”
“Usually when I consider spending $100 (with tip) I envision an upscale dining experience. Yeah, that didn’t happen but I was somewhat prepared based on the reviews of others. The filet was arguably the best I have ever had. The blackened chicken was pretty amazing, too. The spinach salad with hot bacon vinaigrette & the wedge salad were both perfect. My husband was also quite impressed with the bread. Our server was Jenny & she did an excellent job. It was a perfect meal to celebrate our anniversary.”
“The food here is amazing. It is so good that there is always a huge line during lunch though. If you're in a rush during lunch, this place is not for you. If you are on a diet, there's good salads but the rest of the menu is not for you. If you have anxiety about crowded places, send your friend to pick up your food because this place is not for you and the parking lot is a little hard to navigate.”
“We did the tourist thing in Laurel this past week. Ate dinner at The Loft both Tuesday, with Abby as our server, and Thursday, with Emma as our server. I'll start with how fabulous these 2 young ladies were. Very attentive, took excellent care of us, and we just found them very nice and we had lovely conversations with them. The food both nights were excellent as well as the cocktails. On Tuesday, I had the special of fried oysters and hubby had the fried shrimp. We also had the appetizer of steak bites. On Thursday, I had the 9 oz filet tenderloin wrapped in bacon (pricey) and hubby had the Alfredo pasta with steak strips. My hubby is not a steak person, but loved the tenderness/flavor of the steak bites and steak strips. He also said the Alfredo sauce was the best he's ever had. Our compliments to the chef and bartender as well. Very enjoyable meals.”
“Yeah everyone go see my friend Lucy at this taco truck in Laurel at the 3rd Shell gas station across the street...these tacos are amazing!Aye, you all go see my friend Lucy at this taco truck in laurel at the 3rd shell gas station. It's across the street...... these tacos are amazing!”
“Popcorn shrimp are always over cooked and are like eating little rocks. Steamed shrimp are very difficult to peel to the point I won't even order them anymore. So unless I want chicken strips or fish slivers and cold Fry's and hard hush puppies I won't stop on the few times it is open. Now with that said the girls working the counter are super nice and friendly but the food needs a little help.”
“The food was down home cooked meals. The staff was very very polite and accommodating, did lunch, I will be back for breakfast, great place to lick ur wounds from the casino down the road?”
