“Arrived at 12, at 12:15 they took our order for two lunch specials. 12:45 we asked how much longer it would be. After checking, "Unfortunately, I don't know what happened to your ticket & she's cleared away everything for the lunch special." We reordered & at 1:15 we had lunch. I ordered the patty melt & asked if it had sautéed onions..."yes." The onions were chopped (see photo,) barely cooked & crunchy. This was my second time to visit Sam's. I'm hoping this is not the norm!”

“I think this might have been the only restaurant open when we rolled into this little town. Food was typical Subway. The girl who made our food was wonderful. Very personal and funny. Glad she was out sandwich maker.”

“A California girl who lives in the south always in search for authentic Mexican food. It’s rare to actually find one, and it’s here in Laurel, Ms. We were traveling from Tennessee to Nola, and figured we’d stop here for some lunch. It did not disappoint!!! It’s no different than the meals I would eat in Juarez when visiting and in my home town - also the service is unmatched and it’s close to the freeway. I would definitely be hitting this spot every weekend if it weren’t for the drive. Y’all get you some real Mexican food!”

“First place me and my husband came to when we drove into town, literally off the highway to here. Immediately became our favorite spot! Best Po Boys in town, Gumbo to warm your soul, fries are to die for and much more. Owner is the best and had my husbands order down by the third visit! lol It’s months later and this is still our go to spot since moving here 7 months ago!”

“A must stay historic home in downtown Laurel Mississippi. Surround yourself in charming antiquities and be prepared to be pampered by Jenny. Peaceful and quaint with a lot of Southern hospitality. Breakfast was amazing!”

“Got chili burgers and a chicken strip basket. Food was fresh. Wait time wasn't bad. Burgers are good. Chicken is real good. I gave the atmosphere five stars because it was quiet and comfortable while I was there. I can't give it a real rating because I wasn't there at a peak time and was getting my order to go.”

“I don't want to not recommend this place but today was just awful. There were two tables of people there today including us so no crowd at all. We ordered 2 grilled cheese sandwiches one wrap and 3 waters. I don't know what the deal was but it took 45 minutes to receive our order. I finally walked up to check and they were just getting around to it. my son said the kid at the counter had no business dealing with customers. It was unacceptable we should have left but we had already paid and the kids were hungry. We wanted coffee but figured it was a lost cause. Thought you should know”

“We went there with a party of 7 including 3 children around 5pm. Seated immediately. Server was friendly and informative. Seemed like they were understaffed as it took awhile to get our drinks. Cook staff must be understaffed as well as it took over an hour to get our food. Plan on waiting awhile if you eat here. The steak was very good, seasoned well and all sides were cooked well. Children had chicken strips and they said they were very good. The kids options are not on the menu you need to ask the server. Overall good food and atmosphere just a long wait.”

“Kinda unusual to get Mexican food through the drive thru 🥴.....bc the food was just as it would have been if we'd dined in. I was impressed with that, however the menu was hard to decipher and had lil trouble understanding the person taking our order. We did not wait long and everything we needed was in the bag. Not really fast food though.
It just happened to have a drive thru 😊”

Eggplant sliced thin , stacked with cheeses and a good basil sauce. Hubby liked his entree, also . Had glaases of pino noir. Generous pours for $8.00. New server. Had a couple questions she couldn't answer but should have asked so she can know for other customers. She was very sweet.”
