My husband and I visited from out of town. We ate here dinner on a Sunday. Back home in Georgia, 9 out of 10 times all the food from the Chinese restaurants are very bland and the same ole same old buffets. The Last Dragon reminds me of the finer Chinese dining from 20+ years ago in the greater Atlanta areas. From the very beginning our dining experience at The Last Dragon was noticeably different in all the best ways. Plating presentation, quality of ingredients, cleanliness of dining room & bathroom, professionalism of staff. However, it did not end there. Every food item was cooked to order, served on nice dinnerware, drinks served in real glasses not hard plastic red cups. I got the Mongolian beef with steamed rice, husband chose the lemon chicken with fried rice, we got egg rolls, hot n’ sour soup and fried dumplings. The soup was absolutely the heartiest I’ve had in years. My husband doesn’t like dumplings steamed or fried, but tonight when he saw the crispy dumplings he tried one. He ended up eating three. They were delicious. Our entrees were without doubt were different level in a delightful way. Again quality of ingredients and techniques by the chef above and beyond anything back home. I don’t do reviews often, but this restaurant deserves a moment of recognition. We enjoyed our meal and look forward to our leftovers tomorrow. The Last Dragon here in Laurel Mississippi is a diamond in a sea of yuck Chinese buffets. Staff is friendly, kind, helpful and knowledgeable of dishes they serve.

Order wasn’t ready until 20 plus minutes after pick up time . This happened on a Friday with no customers in the building one order still 20 plus minutes after pick up time

I can’t tell how pleased I was with the customer service first thing,it was so good I made me me want to sever them,and they were so genuine the actual rest looked new and they had a A/100 in their inspection. Which is pretty much unheard of. And the food was very good as well.

I picked up an order of sweet and sour chicken. The peppers, onions, carrots and pineapple had never been heated much less cooked. It was the worse food from a restaurant in Laurel that I have ever had. The rice was grainy. Could have been cooked longer. I called a few days later which I should have called that day but kept debating whether to call or not, manager said there was nothing he could do.
Every time we are in town for work we go there. Food is delicious and service excellent! One of the best Chinese food.

I asked for shrimp fried rice with no peas and carrots 😒 they sent one with only peas and carrots. Then he said he'd fix it and then gave me plain white rice with shrimp. Charged me $3 for extra shrimp that they didn't even give me. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I placed an order to be picked up while in the area. Although there was a drive-thru where I could have picked up my order, I decided to go inside and see the restaurant. It was clean and spacious and the employees were prompt and friendly. The reason for the '4-star' rating was because the cashew chicken was extremely spicy (I have ulcers) and the chicken a tad undercooked ; the steamed rice was sheer perfection as was the crab rangoon. Although I declined soup, they forgot my eggroll. I'll probably be back for fried rice and crab Rangoon when I need my Chinese food 'fix.'
