Went in to buyou Bugs this morning at 11:15 to get lunch with my daughter. We were seated at a table and no one came to wait on us finally after we asked, someone took our drink order. We ordered our entrées appetizers and drinks all at the same time we ordered crawfish. They told us it would be 30 minutes before it was ready. We were fine with that 45 minutes later they came to the table and said it was going to be another 30 minutes. Really? I’ve been a Madison county resident my entire life. I try to support local businesses, especially ones that are family owned. But this was absolutely ridiculous!

The food was delicious. The catfish was well seasoned and fried to perfection! The fries phenomenal, they were seasoned hot and fresh. Will definitely be back

My husband and I have been coming here for years for crawfish – hands down the best in town! Now that they’ve remodeled and expanded the menu, we can’t stay away. Everything is absolutely delicious, and we’ve been craving it all week. We’re heading there for lunch today because all we can think about are the royal reds and crab legs! 🙌💖

We went after church for lunch and spent 1.5 hours there before we finally got up to leave. When our waitress initially took our order, she told us the kitchen "got bombarded" and asked them to hold orders for 10 mins. We were kind of annoyed already bc it had taken a while for her just to come back to take our order, but she said she would put the kids order through. They finally brought our kids food when we asked the status of kitchen. At that point, the waitress asked "what do the parents want" and we were so confused bc she took our order at the same time as the kids. That's when we asked for the bill and to go boxes for the kids. The restaurant and parking lot was not full, so we were so confused on how the kitchen "got bombarded." We saw just a couple people waiting for to go orders.

I got a very bad batch of crawfish from bayou bugs yesterday. Every 1 out of 7 tasted spoiled and there was no fat in the heads. From my experience - and I eat a lot of crawfish - it’s likely that they kept a bag of sorted crawfish (discarding the dead) from last week and then sold them this week. If they had sorted fresh crawfish on a Friday then there is no way this would have happened. I am very disappointed.
The lady at the front even mentioned something about how spices they were this week. They have never said anything like this and I bought from them 20 times. I feel like they were trying to hide the fact that they were selling spoiled crawfish.

Crawfish were very bland… no seasoning and they were over cooked to where you could not even crack/peel a lot of them.
Fried crawfish tails had no seasoning and were not good.
Only positive was the charbroiled oysters. Spent $128 on meal for two and was very disappointed!! Will not go back and will not recommend!

Cute little place. Not very big, I can see where it could get crowded. This was my first visit. It was recommended to our group while we were in town for a work event. It does seem a little pricey at first but they give you a lot of food. You’ll definitely have left overs. The only reason I give them 3 stars is because they didn’t have sweet tea. Which I can’t wrap my head around… Definitely worth your time, especially if you like crawfish. They’re huge! My favorite item would have to be the Tamales, I’m very picky about tamales and these were delicious! I will definitely try it again. We chose to sit outside in the deck and it was really nice, but there was a faint odor of a dead rat or possibly crawfish that customers may have tossed under the deck. It wasn’t really strong so I’m sure they haven’t noticed it. It was really windy on this night and I’m sure that played a part. I’m not going to hold that against them. At least it was outside… Service was excellent and the servers were so friendly and on point.

We loved the live music on Friday night (3/28)! The customer service was excellent and their appetizers (fried pickles, mozzarella sticks) couldn't have been tastier! We were disappointed by the flavoring of the crawfish. It was almost flavorless. Super sad as our bill was $500 for crawfish we didn't love. Not sure I'd come back unless they make some tweaks. Needs to be spicier and more salty! Still, we had a good time with family and friends.
I’ve been twice this crawfish season and neither time was good. The second was much worse than the first. Crawfish was mush and tasted like dirty bath water and I even sent it back and told them it was overcooked and they were nice enough to give me more of the same mushy, overcooked, not seasoned crawfish. Crab legs were cold and dry when they came out so I sent them back as well and they sent out the same warmed up dry crab legs.

10/10 do NOT recommend. has so far been the worst crawfish place in the central MS i’ve had. the crawfish was bland. no seasoning. zero. the potato’s weren’t fully cooked and also zero seasoning. the sausage was still raw in the middle…..even the fountain drinks were flat. only positive thing i could say is the shrimp was decent, but i’ve had better, and for the price it’s not worth it. we ended up getting Angelo’s next door. Not to mention the service was bare minimum and the guy at the front was very passive and rude. first red flag should have been the dry seasoning on the table…..

I understand they are under new ownership and I have NOT been since but before the service and food were so good. My Mom and I got crawfish to go and they were the best I have ever had.
