“We ate at Sal & Mookie’s in Madison Friday afternoon. The food was fantastic and the service was the best. Laura kept our drinks full. She was wonderful. We tried a bit of everything, all fantastic. My husband said it was the best restaurant food he’d ever had. The pizza was outstanding. Crawfish corn bisque was wonderful. We were there for quite a while and during that time no one rushed us. We were a party of ten. I have to give them a five star review, because they earned it!!”

“My recent favorite is getting the gyro burrito. I usually have a few bites left over for an afternoon snack. It has a lot of meat in it but somehow it still seems like a light meal. It's always so fresh. I've also had the platters and they are really great too. One platter can feed me twice. And for dessert the baklava is might fine. Don't forget to warm it!”

The meal was delicious, some of the best mexican food I've had in the state if not the best, and the salsa was great. I personally recommend the birria tacos.

Parking: Awkward to get to the parking lot, but plenty of parking.”

“I was having a bit of a day yesterday and decided that I wanted a sweet treat to lift my spirits so I did a little googling to find a bakery near my job. Let me tell you, I am soooooo happy I came across this business! The service was super friendly! They gave me the wholesome small family business vibe and it was beyond endearing. There were so many delicious items to choose from. I originally came just for a couple of cupcakes but after seeing everything quickly changed my order to a dozen! Every single flavor was delicious! I shared with family and friends and we could not get over how moist and delicious they were! Even the little were like this is amazing and we know how children can be the toughest critics! The only thing I regret was not buying two dozen ?. I’ll be going back today to get a couple just for me!”

“Met my grandson for dinner Friday about 5:30 pm. I had the redfish with Angel hair pasta and asparagus spears. It was perfect, seasoned just right and delicious. Even the salad dressing tasted homemade. Grandson also enjoyed his meal. Our waiter was attentive and checked on us several times, refilled drinks, and inquired how our food was. I’ve been to Angelo’s several times for the plate lunch and even arranged a lunch for my high school class recently. All were good experiences.”

“This place has the best gyro in the Jackson area hands down. The service is always great, and the owner and staff are very friendly. You might have a little wait on a busy night, but just go grab a beer at the bar. The environment is great for families or having a fun night with friends.”

“Wow I had almost given up on BBQ not prepared at my home. The service was excellent, dry ribs are really good if you want them to fall off the bone. Brisket was good, Cole slaw, potato salad were both tasty. Tried the BBQ sauce, only if you like wet ribs should you ever grab the container. Oh my wife had onion rings, I thought they were good too. I will be back!!!”

“I come here all the time. The service is great, and my order is usually right. Even if they don't get my order perfect, the baristas here are always super sweet and willing to fix it. Bonus: they answer all the questions that I have with smiles, and that is very much appreciated.”

“Other than I was disappointed the roast beef plate was only at lunch and of course I was there for dinner everything else was great. I ended up ordering the Mai Mai covered in creole gravy with crayfish tails. To say it was phenomenal would be an understatement! Though it was supposed to be on a rice bed, I had them leave that off so I could get dessert (diabetic choice ?). The spinach and tomato under the Mahi was so damn good I want to go back and just order a bowl of the spinach.... seriously! The Mahi was cooked well, maybe a sigh bit over but I'm sure it sat in the window a few minutes. Fortunately the only negative was slightly inattentive service. I get that I was there after 7pm; but when are these restaurants going to go back to bring service oriented? Instead of cleaning and restocking for tomorrow, take care of your customers. I get it, I wasn't drinking booze or $5 glass of tea, but if you see my water is 3/4 empty, bring a carafe and fill it. Also, please stop bringing a new glass or taking it away for 5 minutes to refill and just fill the existing glass at the table. Super easy and costs way less overall because you're not washing as many items. On to dessert, which I forgot to photograph unfortunately. Got the brownie sans three of the four scoops of super creamy vanilla ice cream (again, dusky diabetic choice so I could have something sweet ?) and left off the chocolate drizzle but kept the caramel and chocolate chips. Unbelievably tasty, fresh and super satisfying. Could easily be shared by two. 100% chance I'll return and 1000% recommend if you're in the area. Wanted to taste their branded bourbon and find out about it but didn't get the chance. That's going to be on my next trip. Cheers.”

“I am a huge fan of sashimi especially sake (salmon). Every time I go there, the staff knows me and knows exactly what my order is. The salmon is very fresh and tastes wonderful!

Wheelchair accessibility: PEOPLE BLOCKED THE RAMP ACCESS, WE HAD TO WAIT FOR THE CARS TO MOVE SO WE COULD PROCEED, OTHER THAN PEOPLE NOT BEING SYMPATHETIC TO THE HANDICAPPED IT WAS EASY TO MANAGE. GREAT PLACE TO EAT ?.”

“I pulled around in the drive thru line and the young man taking the orders knew that I usually place a mobile order. He asked me by name if I had any changes to my order and checked it in that I was here for pick up. I love that they know their regular customer by name. It is warming knowing they care.”

“great place!! the employees were so friendly and kind. the wings were amazing. i believe we got a sort of spicy honey flavor. had thr philly queso pizza and it was pretty good, tasted like a philly cheesesteak, but wasnt as cheesy as i imagined. cheesy bread had good flavor, but was a bit tough. overall great experience though.”

“I love all the ladies that are in there they are extremely nice and very helpful. Today was the only day were I felt like my business wasn’t wanted. There was an older lady in there that I have only seen a couple times but not often and when I said my order she rolled her eyes and sorta came off with an attitude like I bothered her by coming in but as soon as someone else came in she seemed super helpful. The younger girl in there tho was really sweet and had a great attitude. I normally don’t have a problem with this tea place so I will go back and hopefully next time I have a better experience.”

“Really good tasting food. Three of us went and ate pad Thai, yellow curry and a hibachi steak and shrimp. Everything was prepared well. Just a little slow on the prep and cooking side for the curry and pad Thai but the hibachi came out quick. We all liked our dishes. They had multiple ceiling fans on full blast so it was a little chilly and one was under a light creating a stove effect over the table. Thats the only down side.”
