“I had heard that the mermaid cafe was a nice little restaurant for the Lake Caroline neighborhood where you could get a nice hamburger. I was pleasantly surprised at my culinary experience. I had some of the best red fish that I have ever had and my friend said the same about the fillet. The only thing that exceeded the food was the courtesy from the staff. Highly recommend it”

“Came in for lunch. Was seat immediately and asked for beverage choice and given the options verbally. Which I like. My drink was given to me within 20 seconds of me being seated. I ordered the sushi & tempura lunch combo and a sweet tea. The food came out very fast and was cooked and presented very well.”

“I came on Friday night with a very crowded restaurant atmosphere and I thought, my order would come with a very long time. But they made my food quickly. That night, I ordered clams, shrimp and crawfish. In the food plastic, I saw some clams that fell out of their shells. I conveyed the problem that I experienced to the restaurant. And it turns out that the clams are under the juice bag. I appreciate their quick response. This restaurant is one of the best restaurants with food taste, price and hospitality that I have ever visited. I highly recommend you all to try the food of this restaurant.”

“Great experience- the food is always pretty good there. Very rarely do they get it wrong. The service is always great! Chef's kiss to our server Gloria. I tried the O-M-Gosh cheeseburger. Great concept. I enjoyed it. However, the fries were not so good. If you've ever tried to reheat fries in a microwave, that's how they were. Not fresh - kind of cardboard feel. I think it's because the fries are cooking twice. Once originally and a second time on the hot skillet with the cheese. Next time I will request my fries on a separate plate.”

“I gave 5 stars for Ms.Abby at the entrance, I was greeted and thanked for my patience. She was very professional and held a smile that lights up a dark room. I was coming in for a pick up order, and I watched her greet customers in a timely manner with grace and kindness. The young lady behind the bar was kind also, a little overwhelmed it seems. But I’m all for giving grace when days are a bit hectic.”

“We ate at Sal & Mookie’s in Madison Friday afternoon. The food was fantastic and the service was the best. Laura kept our drinks full. She was wonderful. We tried a bit of everything, all fantastic. My husband said it was the best restaurant food he’d ever had. The pizza was outstanding. Crawfish corn bisque was wonderful. We were there for quite a while and during that time no one rushed us. We were a party of ten. I have to give them a five star review, because they earned it!!”

“I should’ve taken a picture before I made my cupcake sandwich but it looked so good I couldn’t wait! I’m not a big cake person because most are just too dry but this was so moist to where it just melted in your mouth! And that cream cheese buttercream is chefs kiss!! The shop is such a cute little place! My girls loved everything about it! They especially loved her well dressed goose on the counter! Perfect place for a quick sweet treat!”

“Yesterday, 2/20/26 ordered at the drive thru window. Got the Greek salad with redfish and it was perfect! The feta dressing was delicious and the fish had a little crunchy edge❤️and seasoned just right. Also ordered the chicken strips with fries, very reasonable price and great hot fries! Next time I hope to bring friends and come inside.”

“I honestly want to give this a 4.5 but can’t. The person taking my order, Alyssa, was extremely kind and well spoken. My order was custom and still came out correctly. It’s not the best burger I’ve ever eaten but it’s actually up there. Was a really good burger. Only complaint I really have is most of the tables had crumbs and stuff on them. I still would suggest people come here. I’ll come back for sure when I’m craving a burger.”

“If you’re after real coffee and not a 1800 calorie frozen mocha choca frappe latte with Oreos on top from Starbucks, then this is it. First time going and the price on a latte is about 30% cheaper than other coffee in the area and 3x better. Multiple bean flavors - Super clean - Super quiet - great looking interior - and great service! I will absolutely be back to sit down and work, while enjoying some great coffee.”

“I haven’t been in yet but, I order for delivery. If you haven’t tried their Fajita Taco Salad, you are truly missing out. I’ve had it with shrimp and also the combo, and every single time it has been nothing short of phenomenal. The flavors are bold, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, the kind of meal that makes you stop mid bite just to appreciate how good it is. Karibe consistently delivers delicious food, This is officially one of my faves, and I can’t recommend them enough! I plan on dining in when my schedule permits.”

Fried, grilled and sautéed is an option for most entrees.

Try it on country fried steak day. It’s made in house, not from a pre-cooked, frozen patty. White or brown gravy. It’s really a good lunch.

Service has always been friendly and welcoming.

No complaints that matter. Can be crowded…a great “problem” for a restaurant!!”

“B3 catered our son's wedding rehearsal dinner this month and it was a huge success thanks to Jae & Chef Nick! The food was incredible--pulled pork and chicken with all the fixins' and sides plus an incredible charcuterie style appetizer table and fabulous dessert table with their famous bread pudding bites and lemon bars! The presentation was beautiful and Jae & Chef Nick were kind, efficient, professional, and so very easy to work with through the entire planning process and execution of the event. They truly made it stress free for me since we were from out of state. They made the event memorable and all the guests were above complimentary! “The staff at Beagle Bagel really came through for me today. I’ve been battling illness this week, and the only thing I wanted was their famous cheese soup! I called to see which fresh soup they made today, and unfortunately, It wasn’t cheese-soup day. Only a moment later, I received a call back and the same gentleman said he had checked the kitchen and there was leftover cheese-soup from the day before. I was thrilled! He literally saved my day. I wish I had caught his name, but I am very grateful. Thank you!”

“Ordered the catfish blue plate. Thin strips of fried catfish, two sides and a roll or cornbread. Delicious. Not a big fan of their tartar sauce but luckily the catfish doesn't need it.”

“We visited for the first time yesterday for lunch & loved it! This was my boyfriend's first adventure in Mediterranean foods, so he was hesitant to say the least. LOL He tried & loved the grilled chicken pita wrap. I had gyro salad & it was delicious! We opted for the hummus & pita starter & it was delicious as well. The boyfriend wasn't sure what to think of hummus, but I think if they had a roasted red pepper hummus, we could have created a hummus fan yesterday. LOL We will definitely be back when we're in the area! This is such a great spot for a quick, light & yummy lunch!”

We got a veggie and a supreme and they were so good, lots and lots of toppings! “I love all the ladies that are in there they are extremely nice and very helpful. Today was the only day were I felt like my business wasn’t wanted. There was an older lady in there that I have only seen a couple times but not often and when I said my order she rolled her eyes and sorta came off with an attitude like I bothered her by coming in but as soon as someone else came in she seemed super helpful. The younger girl in there tho was really sweet and had a great attitude. I normally don’t have a problem with this tea place so I will go back and hopefully next time I have a better experience.”

We were traveling from Arkansas, and we don't have your restaurant in our area. Next time we are passing through Madison MS, we will again stop to eat at your restaurant. The bathrooms were spotless; the restaurant was clean and inviting. We were very pleased with our experience. I would give y'all five stars and I wish we had one in Arkansas.”

“I was thrilled when Whataburger opened in Madison, MS. They had a bit of a rough start after opening, but their food now is outstanding and the service is good, sometimes great. They have a chicken fajita burrito as a temporary menu item which I highly recommend.”

“It's the best Starbucks in the entire area. It's located inside Kroger. The girl who serves is very kind and nice. She makes the perfect coffee. The flavor is incredible. They should just let you pay with a debit card on the phone app because it doesn't allow direct payments, only with Starbucks gift cards.”
