“Finally made it for the first time this weekend. We had the chicken fried steak and chicken and waffles. They were excellent! Environment was cheery and comfortable—not too loud even during a busy brunch. The restaurant was well staffed—everyone was so friendly! We cannot wait to come back“

“I had heard that the mermaid cafe was a nice little restaurant for the Lake Caroline neighborhood where you could get a nice hamburger. I was pleasantly surprised at my culinary experience. I had some of the best red fish that I have ever had and my friend said the same about the fillet. The only thing that exceeded the food was the courtesy from the staff. Highly recommend it“

“First time trying out this quaint little cafe’ and I can’t say enough about our experience. It was great. Tommy, our gentleman of a waiter, was excellent. He was attentive, funny, & personable. The food was fantastic! GET! THE! FRIED! TOMATOES! Soooo yum!“

“delicious food and everyone is so nice and the woman who ran our food even made jokes with us:) i usually go through the drive thru and was surprised how nice the inside is. they also have watermelon tea and strawberry lemonade both were very delicious. i always get fruity fran and mac and cheese. never disappoint!!! and the COOKIES! SO GOOD!“

“Went to Saltines for lovely Monday night dinner.
Started off with some fried green tomatoes and they were absolutely amazing!
Then we continued with seafood pasta and blackfish and both were great, but nothing topped the cinnamon roll cheesecake. We absolutely loved this dessert as it provided everything you’re looking for to finish up a meal.“

“I ordered some large mozzarella sticks that were off the menu and they were really good. Each one was longer than my hand, super filling, great with ranch and marinara. Also got the smother chicken which was great. They were out of corn but I swapped it out for squash and it was great.“

“This is one of the most beautiful places to dine in Jackson. The food, drinks, atmosphere.... servers, bartenders.... absolutely everything is great. Expect a lovely upscale, yet laid-back environment. They are not expedient, but they are well worth the visit!!!“

“I get what I always get..
Olivia's Old South on a croissant with an extra scoop & my extra side was grape salad. The whole meal is to die for (not literally, but you know what I mean. ). I even suggested the Olivia's Old South to another soon to be customer of Chicken Salad Chick. She tried another kind but liked Olivia's Old South better. It was just sweet enough for her.“

“The service was and always is excellent! Our food was not as expected! I ordered the baked chicken and it was very tough and a very small portion! We also ordered the pork chop and it was very dry and no flavor and very small as well! The rest of the food on the plate lunches were on point as always!“

“I can’t say enough good things about the staff—they were incredibly kind, helpful, and hardworking. multitasking constantly, I never once saw anyone on their phone—they were fully focused on doing their jobs, and doing them well. If you were working the night shift around 5:30–6:30, thank you for your dedication and kindness! The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The broccoli and rice casserole was packed with flavor, the Mexican cornbread was phenomenal, and the chicken on a stick was hot, juicy, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend!“

“Called in to pick up some fish it being Friday and all. Got it back to the camper and had a nice little picnic. Fish was great, service was great and the atmosphere was a little quiet since it was about 4:30p but all in all everything was good to go.“

“Decided to stop by with my mom today for lunch. After a rough day, to say our day got better is an understatement. Food and drinks were delicious! Cree, our waitress, made us feel right at home. I will be back and, in the meantime, I recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area!!“

“I think Georgia Blue have stepped it up. It's been a while since I've waten here but I've ordered the bayou catfish on several occasions and this time has succeeded the others. My son seemed to enjoy the pizza. We also ordered the peach cobbler. At first I thought it was too much dough but the dough was really good with it's buttery flavor and right amou t of sweetness.“
