“I found this place across from my hotel during a business trip and wish one were across from every hotel. This restaurant hits the sweet spot for a really good lunch place - quick and really good food, several options and friendly and clean.“
“I was surprised to find place that is down home cooking in a “fast food” style way. I called to place a to go order and she told me they have a drive thru and would get me outta there in 5 minutes. I said say no more! So far I’ve been twice and had the chopped steak and fish plate. If you’re looking for that down home cooked taste, especially on a quick lunch break, I would highly recommend this place.“

I love Meat and Three places and this surpassed my expectations - all the sides were delicious - especially the fried okra and butter beans. I also had the Fried Chicken and it was perfectly done. “We dined at the Flowood Mississippi location on a Monday night for dinner & was very impressed at the quality of service received from the time we entered the restaurant, we were greeted & welcomed to the location,promptly seated by the hostess, where we were met by the waitress, where she took our drink & appetizer order. We had the Raw Oysters & they were perfectly prepared, the main course was grilled tuna & perfectly prepared medium rare & seasoned as well as the sweet potato crème brûlée, which was like a dessert for dinner & amazing. We definitely recommend this location“
“We had a wonderful experience for our first time. We started of with Cajun spinach dip, which was amazing. And than I had the bayou catfish which was awesome also. The wife had the Chicken Parmesan which she said was really good also. And our waitress was also great!“

“Mama Hamils is a part of life in the Madison/ Ridgeland area! I like to take my husband when we are in town. He can eat all the meats he wants, and I love getting all the sides. It is always incredibly busy, so keep that in mind. I have seen them let in so many people that there was no place to sit, but that just tells you how good the food is.“

I recommend the brisket toast, crawfish grits, and s'mores cheesecake. The smoky brisket was generously heaped onto perfectly toasted bread. The creamy grits provided the ideal canvas for succulent crawfish, each bite bursting with flavor. The s'mores cheesecake was nothing short of a heavenly creation. It was velvety smooth, with a luscious chocolate graham cracker crust, elevated by toasted marshmallow topping. Honestly, it is probably the best cheesecake I've ever had!“
“Traveling for work from Dallas Texas and came across this gem. Before you could open the door you could smell the food from the outside. THE FOOD IS AMAZING FRESH AND TASTY! I came for the pork chops but they were sold out BUT THE HOMEMADE HOMECOOKED WITH LOVE CHEESE BURGER AND FRIES I GOT TOOK MY TASTE BUDD TO THE MOON. Thanks for the best meal I’ve had since I left home. I’ll be back for a bucket of those fries.“
“We went to this restaurant on a whim looking for good food in the middle of the day. This was our first time trying it out. The food and atmosphere did not disappoint. We chose to dine outside because it is very upscale inside and we were a little under dressed. My son loved his food. He is a picky eater so that is a plus for us to find a place he likes. I hate I didn't have pictures of the food but we were so hungry we didn't have time to take any!!!. The wait staff was top notch. We will definitely be frequenting this place going forward.“
“The fact I accidentally found this place baffles me. This place is the best soul food I had in my life. The cafeteria style where you can pick and choose your dishes is awesome. I had the fried chicken with greens and amc and cheese and it was exceptional. I had to try some of the other items and none were bad. Everything was great and definitely cooked with style and care.“
