I ordered their chicken burritos and beef & bean burritos and they were phenomenal. The salsa is spot on, not too watery not too thick, perfect amount of heat with tons of flavor. Chips are light and crispy. Everything you want in a Mexican restaurant and more! Ambiance is also very pleasant, lots of good energy in this place.

El Ranchito is by far the best Mexican in Madison. The servers are fantastic, the food is hot, fresh, and accurate, and they go above and beyond for all customers. The frozen lime margaritas have become a weekly staple for us. We go here with toddlers and the staff more than tolerates our shenanigans. We love ElRan!!!!

Showed up and was seated outside. The waiter took quite a while to take our drinks. Someone turned on the mosquito lanterns, and we got smoked out for a good 20 minutes before someone came and asked how we were doing. Food was definitely subpar. I think I'm gonna pass on coming back here anymore. It's just not worth the time, money, or smoke inhalation.
