It's best to eat inside. I was charged $14 plus tax for one take out plate that was so small u could barely fit anything on it and no drink included with take out. Food is good but not worth the price for that small take out paper plate.
Good, wonderful, great place to eat! If you are looking for a true southern meal, go!

This place is probably one of the best soul food buffets I’ve ever had. We stop here every time we come to Madison. I especially look forward to the rutabagas because they hard to find where I live. Everything is always so good and fresh tasting. Always busy too so be prepared. This is also the only buffet that I know you can pay a flat rate, not by the pound, for a take out plate with a drink included.

There is NO other restaurant that we know of ( and we have eaten at many from coast to coast) that serves the quality and quantity of food, then to mention the atmosphere and serviceis just out of this world. Mr. Bob, family and staff makes sure you are satisfied (just like his mother) when you leave thier place.

Coming from Ohio, the food was sooo good! The fri33d chicken was seasoned perfectly and the smoked chicken...baaaaaaby listen! The sweet tea was on point as well. I do recommend to check them out! But get there 20-30 minutes before they open....that parking lot gets packed fast!

I stopped by to pick up some barbecue or smoked chicken. The cashiers were friendly and told me I could just pick some chicken and pay by the piece which I thought was very convenient. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. I’ll be back to try the full buffet experience at some point, but in the meantime, it’s nice to grab some prepared chicken on a busy night
Update - had to downgrade service/atmosphere. I still love the smoked chicken, but tonight there was a seriously grumpy older (my age! 50s/60s) white guy with a cap and beard who was supposed to fill my "to go"order. He was downright rude and ugly for no apparent reason. The youngish guy who usually fills my orders and is just precious- early 20s or younger - apologized and said to ignore him which was sweet. Maybe this guy has some issues and, if so, I guess it's sweet they keep him, but someone needs to give him some direction. Really was a downer.
