I felt there are less options in buffet and the food was too hot that ot became dry. I loved the spice levels.

We’re from out of town and Doordashed them based on reviews from DoorDash. Whoever highly recommends this place obviously has never eaten decent Indian food. The dosas were greasy. The samosas were so salty we couldn’t eat them. Chicken korma was mediocre and the tandoori chicken was ok. It’s hard to mess up tandoori chicken.

I had a horrible experience when I went to dinner with my family. We ordered dosa and told the server we wanted spicy food but when it was delivered it was very mild. I then requested the server to make the other dosas a bit more spicy. The request went to deaf ears. Still got mild food. I then ordered spicy Uthapam and wasn’t told it might be a wait to get the food. I said okay, I can wait. My food finally came out and it was the smallest Uthapam, I have even eaten in my lifetime. When asked, the server said that is the only size. The server did not mention the size before we placed the order. Very poor customer service and the prices are very expensive. I was throughly disappointed with that place and will never dine there again. I don’t know what type of business they are running. It’s useless to go and dine there.

I was able to try aloo tikki, Hyderabadi chicken biryani, and butter chicken on my visit tonight. All three were delicious. I hope to visit again for the lunch specials and weekend buffet!

Excellent Indian food, very authentic, flavourful and freshly made. We had the malai kofta, daal makhni, samosa chat, paneer kulcha, garlic naan and masala chai all of which were excellent. Highly recommend to anyone looking for good Indian food in Mississippi area. Service was excellent as well

I used to LOVE this place. Over the years it has gone down hill. The tables do not have white table cloths anymore, water is not served in a wine glass anymore instead a plastic buffet cup. Complimentary pita & chutneys have been eliminated! The food portions have gotten so small while charging the same price! The food quality has changed, I haven’t been in a while but after today I won’t be back. The chicken was dry in the tikki masala, didn’t taste any cashew & masala was watery. Aloo gobi with bhindi looked so weird. It looked only seasoned with tumeric ? Idk. My mango lassi was good. I won’t be here again. Maybe they have a new cook ? ….. I paid & went to Indian delight! Also, there are LOUD kids RUNNING about the resturant every Sunday!!! Listening to loud trap Indian music on the speakers in the back as if they are running a day care. No adult supervision. Not an environment suitable for people trying to enjoy a meal!

Do not be fooled by the look of the restaurant from the outside. Could not be more satisfied by the food variety and service as well as the price! You can not find a better buffet deal. Highly recommend 👌

A Tale of Two Indian Restaurants in Mississippi — One Hit, One Miss
As someone from Texas — a true hub for Indian cuisine — I didn’t expect to find standout Indian food in Mississippi. My recent visits to two Indian restaurants here showed just how different experiences can be.
First, I tried Southern Spice, and frankly, it was a big disappointment. The food lacked flavor, the service was slow, and nothing felt fresh or thoughtfully prepared. I left genuinely underwhelmed, hoping my next experience would redeem Indian food in the area.
Thankfully, it did. My next stop was North South Tadka in Ridgeland, and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the chicken fried rice, which had great flavor — though the egg was slightly over-fried. The Andhra chicken curry, however, was absolutely delicious — rich, spicy, and comforting. The bread was fresh and soft, the kind you don’t leave behind on the plate.
This second experience truly stood out and reminded me of home. If you're looking for great Indian food in Mississippi, skip Southern Spice and head to North South Tadka instead — it just might surprise you the way it did me.

I have ordered online. Food quality is dangerously bad. Biriyani was literally soaking in oil. Food color usage. It’s an attack on customer health.
