Consistently excellent — a true specialty coffee experience.
I almost always have a great experience here. The espresso is top-tier, and they offer an impressive selection of manual brew options like V60 and Chemex. It’s the kind of place where you can really appreciate the craft behind the coffee.
Also a great spot to study or hang out — plenty of seating and a relaxed atmosphere. Easily one of my go-to spots when I want quality coffee and a good environment.

I truly love Tamper! I work from home, and it’s one of my favorite coffee shops to visit. However, I’m giving it 3 stars because I always run into issues with the Wi-Fi. They often have you hop on the Sal & Mookie’s network, which I don’t mind, but when neither connection works, it gets frustrating. To me, investing in reliable Wi-Fi feels important since so many people come here to work or study. I’d love to see this updated in the future!

Excellent coffee, but the staff is always extremely awkward. Very little interaction. Not very welcoming at all. Always rude and off putting. I keep coming back time and time again to give it another shot, but it’s the same result.

I've gone to lots of coffee shops in the Jackson metro, and by far this is best coffee I've had. The Spanish latte is perfect. Highly recommend

Highly recommend Tamper Specialty Coffee! The staff are kind and provide fast service. The decor and atmosphere is beautiful and quiet. I had the chocolate croissant is it was so buttery and not too sweet. The coffee was very delicious as well!

This is hands down the best coffee shop I've visited in Mississippi. The atmosphere couldn't be better. The Spanish lattes are sensational. The owners are very kind people and have world traveler vibes. If someone told me they didn't like their coffee, I would be perplexed. Side note: their coffee machine is awesome. Definitely made in Europe.

Always looking to help small businesses but they have a “one size” coffee policy which is 10 ounces, yet charge $5.67 the same price I can get a 16-20 ounce coffee elsewhere in Madison.
My wife and I just started visiting here and it’s top tier. Shout out to Kati who always is so warm and friendly to us and she KNOWS her coffee. Definitely gained customers who will frequent the place!
