I had heard that the mermaid cafe was a nice little restaurant for the Lake Caroline neighborhood where you could get a nice hamburger. I was pleasantly surprised at my culinary experience. I had some of the best red fish that I have ever had and my friend said the same about the fillet. The only thing that exceeded the food was the courtesy from the staff. Highly recommend it
My review is for my last order. Two hamburgers to go with the works. Absolutely the WORST hamburger we’ve maybe ever bought. Both my wife and I stomachs hurt after eating part of them. Horrible texture and just plain bad. Especially for the price. I’ve had good meals before but this was embarrassing for them.
My wife and I found this place in that was a little of the normal path and enjoyed all of it. My wife had the Mediterranean Salad with Shrimp which she said was amazing. I had the House Smoked Salmon Appetizer as a meal which was delicious. Our drinks were excellent, the menu was great, and the service was excellent. When traveling through again we will stop and enjoy again.
