Let me start with OMG! My skeptical husband and I had lunch there today for the first time and not only was the food as good as what my Mom and Grandma cooked but they do not skimp on portions. We left sated and stuffed to the gills. we will be frequent diners there and have already bragged to friends living here who have not heard of it. If you love southern, love soul food this is your place to eat in Meridian, Mississippi. as I said my husband is skeptical and he loved the food and even walked back up to the buffet line to thank them. they are open M-F from 10:30am until 2:00 pm. Get there early. YUM!!!

The food is good but it's a luncheon only venue. It's in an out of the way place away from other restaurants. If you're looking for a good down home southern lunch and have the time to drive around and search for it, this is the place.

Love this spot. I always get the food to go. Ambiance is nothing amazing. Service is ok but the food is everything! Amazing baked chicken, all the veggies are delicious and the peach cobbler and strawberry lemonade are everything. My absolute favorite - the chicken and dumplings. Only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They taste like my mamas!! The greens, corn, Mac and cheese, dressing, field peas. You just can't go wrong!!

The lady at the register attitude was terrible. There were no smiles or greeting. I've been there 3 times and it was always the same. I don't recommend someone who is looking for hospitality not to go there as much money that your spending with her . There should be a very warm welcoming when you enter. But the food was good just not the service ?

Just great food. Greens and yams were perfect. Pot roast was tender and with the right amount of fat. Had fresh unsweetened ice tea which I was most grateful for. Worth taking the time to get to.

I had eaten Binke’s several years ago and wanted some good home style food on the go. I did not know what they were serving or what the prices were. So I called and was told the menu is on the website and was hung up on. I looked at the website but noticed it didn’t have prices listed so I called back again to inquire about the prices. The lady who initially answered the phone did not know about the prices.. so she handed the phone to the lady I spoke with before. I did not catch her name but she was extremely rude. She started off by telling me how busy she was and wanted to know what my question was. I told her I wanted to know the prices on the plate lunches to which her response was “what do you want? I don’t have no prices listed on a website. You’ll have to come in a see for yourself” then proceeded to hang up in my face again. I was intending on stopping by there to grab lunch for me and my family but now I don’t think I’ll be going to this business. There’s more polite ways to word things.
