I ordered the taco salad which I have gotten many times at their other location on north hills . They brought out a soggy shell , the meat was so greasy my plate was soaked with grease and it had maybe 3 pieces of lettuce and like 2 pieces of tomato with a dollop of sour cream . Nothing like it normally is . I showed the waitress and she brought me a plate of shredded lettuce I guess so I could assemble my taco salad myself …. Wow great service I can do that at home . Very disappointed she never apologized Notning and we have been supporting el Norte for atleast 26yrs along with my parmwts and my husband’s family but we might need to try a New Mexican restaurant. No one even said sorry. Had nothing for lunch because I sent back that taco salad which was disgusting. We will not be back and be sure to tell friends and family how our experience went . I understand mistakes happen but then your place of business makes it right . That was never offered
Just ate really good Mexican food in Seguin, TX yesterday. Probably a bad time to compare, but, this food was awful!! The salsa lacked a redeeming qualities. The order came out wrong. The beans were soupy. The rice dry and flavorless. The chilis relenos were insubstantial and the sauce tasted like it had been made with ketchup. This was a very disappointing dining experience!!

Staff was friendly and helpful to our large group. Drinks were not good, the liquor to mix ratio was wayyyyy off. Food was ok. I would give them a second try on a night they are not so busy to see the difference.

We were seated immediately and got our chips and salsa promptly along with our drinks. The service is very friendly. The staff is wonderful. When we ordered our food, it came out pretty quick. There’s a very good flavor.

Nice restaurant, but the food lacked something vere important, taste. Most people use some spice for seasoning. Everything was very bland. The atmosphere and service were good.
Disgusting 🤮

I never thought you could have bad Mexican food until I came here.
You know how you usually get red or white space on an enchilada? I got brown sauce.
BROWN SAUCE.
My stomach has been aching since and the taste was truly horrifying.
Save yourself food poisoning and don't go here.

Service was awful. Food cold. Server was not friendly
I got the beef tamales and chicken enchiladas. They both tasted like they were made with love. Everything would've been perfect, but the chips tasted like they had a hard day. It was takeout but I live only one mile from El Norte. They tasted stale and were cold. Although the chips were not my first priority I was spoiled from nice fresh and at least warm chips I had some time ago from someplace else, but they didn't have beef tamales. Reminds me of looking for a house, can't find the perfect just right place. El Norte is still my first choice so far.
