Lots of fun. the coolest place in Meridian to eat. Lunch only, Monday through Friday. Really good food. Old-fashioned chef prepared cooked meals. Vegetable plate, Hamburger-steak, Turkey and dressing, Hamburgers, every day. plus a special each day. Today was meatloaf. I come here every chance I get. Came back for beef tips over rice. Really good. Will be back on Wednesdays this summer. On Mondays, they have meatloaf, but we got the hamburger steak and turkey and dressing . Really good

I had heard a lot about Jean's Restaurant from various people over the years... all saying great and not so good things about this place, so as a second timer.. Child that sweet potato souffle is definitely so delicious and was so tasty that I know my Mama felt that slap all the way in Illinois.. It was so light and airy that you almost felt like eating it was on cloud nine up in the sky it was just that good..My chicken was just a bit dry, but it might have been a off day..I don't hold that against Jean's Restaurant 'cause we all have those off days..I still feel the food is good and you don't have to take my word for it... If you find yourself in Meridian and you want some good old Southern comfort food, then this is most definitely a place that needs to get seen and tasted by you!

Absolutely loved Jean’s! The front staff were welcoming and the Southern food was delicious. Our waiter, Stephen, was outstanding and one of the finest waiters we have ever encountered. He was professional yet friendly and very knowledgeable about the food without having to refer to the menu. If anyone is looking for a restaurant with great ambience, great home cooked food, and friendly staff, they will find it at Jean’s.
