My wife forgot her purse inside. They found it and ran after us outside!

Traditional Southern foods. Very nice selection of vegetables. Meat and one or and two or and three side options plus a 4 veggie plate. Prices are very reasonable. Bright homey place with meals serving on various miss-matched china. The chocolate meringue pie which I rarely order was as good as my mother made. Worth the stop

Delicious! We were passing though and Jean’s was the only place around that was open. It’s not trying to be southern comfort, it IS southern comfort. Would gladly stop again. Don’t ask or wonder, just go.

We came in for lunch 35 mins before closing, everyone was so nice and we had a great meal! Great menu setup where you choose 1 main and up to 3 sides, or they have sandwiches and salads. Fresh. I was surprised Jean’s didn’t come up in Google when we searched for restaurants earlier this week. Glad we found it!

Very loud and unpleasant server. $9 for the fried chicken and it was not enough for my toddler.

This place feels like the perfect mix of classy Southern dining and home-cooked comfort — almost like eating at grandma’s house but with a refined touch. The food is absolutely delicious, but what really stands out is the atmosphere. It’s warm, welcoming, and inclusive — I’ve noticed people from all walks of life here, and everyone feels comfortable. In a town like Meridian, that means a lot. Whether you’re stopping by for a nice meal or just looking for a place where you’ll feel at home, this is a gem worth supporting.

Lots of fun. the coolest place in Meridian to eat. Lunch only, Monday through Friday. Really good food. Old-fashioned chef prepared cooked meals. Vegetable plate, Hamburger-steak, Turkey and dressing, Hamburgers, every day. plus a special each day. Today was meatloaf. I come here every chance I get.
Came back for beef tips over rice. Really good. Will be back on Wednesdays this summer.
On Mondays, they have meatloaf, but we got the hamburger steak and turkey and dressing . Really good

I had heard a lot about Jean's Restaurant from various people over the years... all saying great and not so good things about this place, so as a second timer.. Child that sweet potato souffle is definitely so delicious and was so tasty that I know my Mama felt that slap all the way in Illinois.. It was so light and airy that you almost felt like eating it was on cloud nine up in the sky it was just that good..My chicken was just a bit dry, but it might have been a off day..I don't hold that against Jean's Restaurant 'cause we all have those off days..I still feel the food is good and you don't have to take my word for it... If you find yourself in Meridian and you want some good old Southern comfort food, then this is most definitely a place that needs to get seen and tasted by you!
