This is an express. That usually means the seating isn't a primary focus. I found this to be true here. It felt a little sticky and is pretty rundown.
I ordered sushi and vegetables with water for $25. The sushi was very good. Couldn't have been better. The vegetables were not cooked in any sauce and bland.
My companion ordered sweet and sour chicken and sprite for $13 and it was excellent.
I recommend this place for the great sushi, but if you are going for ambience it may not be the place for you. Probably why we were the only people there, but the phone orders came in non-stop the entire time.
I looked into the back. The sushi prep area on the right was organized and fairly clean. The cooking area on the left wasn't either of those two things.

Love this place! Always easy to place and pick up orders and GREAT SUSHI! I have been to many restaurants which sell sushi and OEC has to take the cake, especially with their tornado rolls. Yum!!!

Authentic Japanese food in Meridian! I am in love with all things Japanese, so I know it is not new in town, but I just have never been. Good selection of sushi, the drink size is generous and I love the carrots and other veggies. It looked like Japan and felt like a place to absorb the vibe.
