Update: The Food and Beverage manager, Kolton, reached out to me today and offered a very thoughtful apology for our experience. We are willing to give Boxcar another chance and would recommend that anyone else should as well.
I spent two hours here last night and had one drink. It took 51 minutes for that one drink to come. Then when I asked for our check, I waited 25 minutes before finally going inside and telling the manager (who happened to be behind the bar) that we’d waited almost a half hour for our check and I’d like to pay. We got no apology but she did print off my $32 check for the single round of drinks we got in the time we wasted not being served. There were also only six people there total so it wasn’t like the place was busy.

The BoxCar at Threefoot Hotel in Meridian, Mississippi was a great experience. A rooftop restaurant/bar on the 11th floor. We had wings and fries and a few drinks. We were here on a Tuesday and it was steady, but not busy. What a vibe! Great spot in a small town!

Check this place out in the afternoon to start my evening. The rooftop was pretty clear and not crowded in the late afternoon. There were really good shady spots even on a sunny day and the drinks were on point, the service was speedy and friendly

The service at this place is embarrassing,once you get over the view there's nothing else they offer. The 1st order of drinks came out in a timely fashion but after waiting for the 2nd round (30 minutes) we never received the drinks but they attempted to charge us for them. This wasnt my first bad experience at the roof top but it'll be my last. The staff either seem like they hate their job,come off rude,spend 20 minutes talking to their normal customers or forget you ever ordered. The bar itself is unkept on the outside and the atmosphere is a snooze. Go enjoy the view but please lower your expectations. New management could really turn this place around.

Every time I come here I remind myself of why I said I would never come again. I have now been followed up by security 3 times and asked for my ID even though it is free for all and I do not order alcoholic beverages. We also have waited up to 2 hours for services outside and disregarded by staff. I would not recommend

I had high hopes for this place because i was going to propose to my girlfriend here but there were a lot of stuff that i did not like , first the staff that works there looks like they don’t even want to be there except one server, they had 0 hospitality or any good energy at all their service was terrible , 2nd the drinks are pretty bad most the drinks we ordered had no flavor or were super strong , and last thing is the furniture outside was dirty the cushions had stains all over it. Whoever runs this place needs to do a big update add more furniture , add music on the outside to spice up the place and update the menu theres barely anything on it and Fix the staff.

7 of us went there for after dinner cocktails. The red-headed server was less than thrilled to be working. I’m fairly certain she rolled her eyes at me when I asked for an orange slice to be added to my drink (which was absent when drink arrived) We asked for extra lime bc the drinks were sweet. The limes looked like they had already been used. One from our party speculated that gratuity was automatically added to the tab and she was correct. 3 of us ordered the Gypsy Queen which is a type of blackberry margarita. None of us finished it bc it was horrible. Our spouses tried and also agreed it was not good. It was a great place when it first opened but it is unlikely we will return anytime soon, if ever.
Poor service Poor service. The views and atmosphere are great. But the Poor service and lack thereof really mess it up for this gem.

The atmosphere is awesome! When I came, the patio was closed for weather but I will certainly be back. This is the tallest building in Meridian, so the view is gorgeous. The people are nice. Only complaint is expensive drinks that are a bit too sweet.

Bartender Rachelle fabulous drink-maker. Only one server (redheaded) seemed less than enthusiastic about her position and spent the evening with headphones in her ears rather than seemingly helpful. Her counterpart, never caught her name, was fantastic and gave a brief description of the area after I asked about the university. Taking that one server aside, the view is fabulous and the rest of the staff fabulous. As a person who actually travels for a living, highly recommend. Stop by for good drinks and food vibes.
