Western Sizzlin Wood Grill

Buffet style restaurant. Great selection for hot bar, fruit bar, salad bar, and dessert bar. Servers attentive. Very busy for lunch . Clean. First time there but will go back when traveling through again.

The food was terrible, the buffet was pitiful at best. This was not the Western Sizzlin I remembered from my youth. The old thing they had good was very nice servers, they were very nice.

Pretty good food, with fast and friendly service, and reasonably priced.

Keeping in context the food was good and service from Denise excellent. The front person was super swamped (probably should have had 2) and bathroom not so great. Overall, it was better than most buffets.

Run! It's absolutely filthy and the bathroom is even worse. I've seen Port-o-Pottys there were cleaner.

The food was okay could use more seasoning. It was crowded when I went on a Sunday around 1:00pm

I very seldom leave bad reviews. A lot of times, when you go to a restaurant, it's really a matter of personal taste. But I'm taking a moment to warn people away from the Western sizzlin wood grill. I say with no hyperbole that it was truly one of the worst experiences with restaurant food that I have ever had. Quite simply, nothing was good. I tried fish, chicken, beef, all bad like it was cooked in very old oil. Baked items were very stale and hard. Vegs were tolerable at best. Frankly, The only thing I didn't have a negative experience there with was the machine made ice cream cone. Pretty pathetic. The staff was generally friendly. But I felt sorry for them working in such a horrible location. Things are very worn and seemingly neglected, such as tears in the seating upholstery, broken fixtures, dirty walls, and peeling paint. I walked away shaking my head in disbelief in how bad food could really be. And none of the rest of it was enough to make up for it. I wouldn't eat here again if I had not eaten for 3 days. Btw, we were there promptly at dinner time, not between meals or late in the night.

First visit here. Not like the old school Western Sizzlin I remember but very impressed with the food. We ordered burgers and fries. Did not try the buffet. Staff was super friendly including our waiter. Sweet tea was good also. Building was very dated and run down. But can over look that for a good meal.
