Local soul food restaurant I have not been to recently. They're known in the area for their wings, but I hit up the soul food bar on a Friday afternoon. While I had intended to get wings I was side tracked by their hog maws(mogs). It's been a long time since I've had some so I went for it. I got way more than I intended, even after going with the smaller portion. I physically could not eat that much lol. They were good too, tender but not greasy. I had them put some gravy on top, which made it more decadent. My only complaint is the rice was slightly crunchy as if it wasn't fully cooked. There's seating inside, but most people get togo orders. I'll get those wings next time.

My family and I passed by this place passing through to get to our destination. Now let me tell you everything was bomb. We had gotten the 6pc wing plate with koolaid. Now the koolaid was perfect it is delicious and sugary! The wings very tender, and crispy at the same time. The owner I’m assuming ( the guy at the register) was very helpful and always asking if we are okay! He kept giving us refills, he also was conversating with us and we enjoyed talking to him very sweet guy! We wished we could give him a tip but we didn’t have cash on hand but when we come back we will definitely give him a tip! We also decided to try the soul food there and omg I personally never had some and it was so yummy we devoured it! I didn’t take a picture of what it looked like but I have a picture after we ate everything 🤣. 10/10 service, 10/10 food. We are definitely stopping by whenever we are by!

When I say best customer service and welcoming atmosphere. My family and I had the Soul food bar. Delicious Mac and cheese, cornbread turkey dress, house-made yams, greens, etc. Don't forget about the sweet and yummy take you back to your childhood memories Koolaid. They take care of you here with warm friendly smiles and service.!

As soon as I walked in and smelled the soul food I knew this was gonna be a good place, as soon as I heard the cashier talking, I knew it was gonna be perfect, and when the guy from the kitchen offered to top off my drink before going I knew I was in heaven

Skip the chain restaurants and give these wonderful people your business. The wings were the best we have had in the 3 years of living here. The greeting and conversation was a 10/10. The price was fair for the amount of food you get. They have soul food as well. We now have a new restaurant to frequent. Highly recommended!!!

Food was delicious! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Only thing I was suggest is to put more food on the plate like Faye’s do. It doesn’t be enough for the amount you pay. Dinner should come with 3 pieces of chicken/fish and so on.

Food is definitely good, the kitchen staff was having it rough that day. So you could feel the tension and attitude. But it didn't reflect on the meal they served. Affordable prices. But a little team work to make the dream work as far as service and atmosphere would be driving the customers in. Customer service was great, but they definitely got the SPICY extra heavy on the staff. Will definitely be back for the food.

This is the epitome of soul food. When I left there my soul had been enriched. I grew up on a lot of the same things such as fried chicken, Lima beans, green beans, cabbage and this place brought back memories of my grandmother and great grandmother. If you're in the area and are looking for true soul food check this place out and the wonderful women who run it made my day and they will make yours as well!
