Had biscuits, young lady serving us said they were having technical difficulties and they were flat. Definitely did not look like the ads and menu. This sad fact is true of most restaurants. They were very tasty still. We had the gumbo which was supposedly served with garlic bread, waitress said they’ve never served it with the gumbo. Requested menu and clear as day “served with garlic bread”, again waitress stated she never has served it and will let owner know. No bread given! Several good sized bones in the Gumbo. Wife had crawfish/corn chowder, delicious! Yes, would eat there again.

We were so excited to eat here. When we arrived, we were seated by a man with awful teeth and who looked unusual. He did bring us breakfast scouts which were hot and quite good. However, downhill from there. My catfish po boy was substandard. The catfish was mealy and sparse. The fries were frozen fries barely cooked. They were mushy. My husbands mini muffuletta looked like a child’s ham and cheese. Very little toppings, very little meat, and rolls instead of bread one would expect on a muffuletta. He also had mushy fries. Bad food and unappealing waiter. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone!

Not very busy so we had great service. But we were disappointed the scheduled band had cancelled. Fried oyster spinach salad was Awesome w marinated (salty) mushrooms, boiled eggs. Great with molasses vinegarette. Fried oyster Po Boy was also great, in part cuz of the great crusty bread.

It was not very busy when I went in so the service was fast and attentive. They brought biscuits with apricot butter to the table while I looked over the menu. The biscuits were not your classic southern biscuits that I was expecting, but the butter was a nice extra touch. I got the grilled shrimp platter, which came with cole slaw, fries, and hushpuppies. Everything was tasty and the price was good for the amount of food that you got.

The dumplings were slicks (those who know) grew up in the south but drop dumplings. Really good. Biscuits with apricot butter were yummy. Sweet potato casserole yummy. My hubby got the okra salad and he said it was delicious. Cool vibe.
hill Billy begroet je hartelijk. is eenvoudig maar vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Toko is simpel ingericht dus sfeer is wat je er van vindt. eten is prima an kwaliteit. gerookt is ook echt gerookt en niet voorgekookt. o ja.. drankje zit er bij in begrepen. we waren daar over verbaasd. al met al eenvoudig goes gegeten met prima vriendelijke mensen.
