Had biscuits, young lady serving us said they were having technical difficulties and they were flat. Definitely did not look like the ads and menu. This sad fact is true of most restaurants. They were very tasty still. We had the gumbo which was supposedly served with garlic bread, waitress said they’ve never served it with the gumbo. Requested menu and clear as day “served with garlic bread”, again waitress stated she never has served it and will let owner know. No bread...
Not very busy so we had great service. But we were disappointed the scheduled band had cancelled. Fried oyster spinach salad was Awesome w marinated (salty) mushrooms, boiled eggs. Great with molasses vinegarette. Fried oyster Po Boy was also great, in part cuz of the great crusty bread.
It was not very busy when I went in so the service was fast and attentive. They brought biscuits with apricot butter to the table while I looked over the menu. The biscuits were not your classic southern biscuits that I was expecting, but the butter was a nice extra touch. I got the grilled shrimp platter, which came with cole slaw, fries, and hushpuppies. Everything was tasty and the price was good for the amount of food that you got.
