My wife and I dined at 1818 two evenings while staying at Monmouth Historic Inn and Gardens. On both occasions we received absolutely outstanding service from Da Vio and food comparable to that of the best restaurants in New Orleans. This was a memorable dining experience we will recommend to all of our friends.

Not quite the experience we were expecting. The staff were friendly and the food was good but when some other diners who I think were also guests decided to start banging on the piano ( they couldn't play) our waitress seemed to think it was funny. It was anything but and extremely annoying which we made clear at the time.

My spouse and I stayed at the Monmouth Innwhich made dining at Restaurant 1818 a no brainer. The dinner we had was excellent. The service was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The ambiance of the antebellum home in which the restaurant is located is appealing.

Menu was very limited. Duck breast was good. Redfish was fair. Sides were excellent. Fried green Tomatoes were excellent. Wine list was extremely limited and overpriced even for a restaurant. George did a great job but they were understaffed. Overall it was enjoyable.
