Very nice quaint little 2-bedroom cottage all to ourselves, with a kind and attentive host. Delightful breakfast in the beautiful main house. Precious, the dog, was in fact precious. Loved it, would definitely stay again!

Enchanting art, delightful host, comfortable guest house, with a fascinating history. We booked Joe’s home last minute after deciding on a whim to spend the night in Natchez. Best decision of our entire trip. Joe is wonderful. His home is full of surprises and every single item has a story that Joe is happy to tell. His knowledge of the area and his deep love of history kept us captivated for multiple hours. The conversations flew by!The cottage was very comfortable with strong air conditioning and fitted with everything we would need. (Especially loved the touch of Joan Rivers lore.) My friend and I really enjoyed the covered porch with attached patio while an evening storm passed. The colorfully lit landscaping with multiple fountains kept us outside until midnight. Our biggest surprise during our stay was Breakfast. Want to know what it’s like to feel like royalty? Joe pours coffee from sterling silver pots and serves food on 19th-Century French china. It felt like a scene from Downton Abby or Gilded Age. We were left in awe.Peaceful, serine, and so so comfortable. An absolute must stay if you’re in Natchez.I will be returning again from NYC.Thank you Joe!

My BFF and I travel together every couple of years and this August we decided to go to Natchez. My BFF booked us at the Stone House and we stayed in the cottage on the back side of the property. The cottage is a 2/1 and adorable. The beds were comfortable and everything was so clean and tidy. The decor is thoughtfully done. The bathroom came with two sets of different colored towels so we'd be able to remember who had what towel, which is nice! The grounds of the house are adorable and he was doing some renovations and general maintenance while we were there and it was nice to see such a old home receiving so much TLC.The host, Joe, was so friendly and went way out of his way to sit and chat with us. He gave us great recommendations for places to see and eat. He also played a nice piano concert for us one evening. He made a lovely breakfast for each morning we were there and coordinated the timing to fit our preferences. He has a lovely collection of art and is happy to tell you all about it and the general history of the home, which his ancestors owned since it was built. I found this fascinating since nobody in my family owns anything that was in our family since the 1850's that I am aware of!Joe has the most adorable companion dog that was another sweet addition to our trip.Close to downtown and if it was not 110 when we were there, we would have walked into and around town each day.If you're looking for a comfortable, historic place to stay that is not commercialized, I recommend staying here.

After a lifetime of visits to Natchez, Mississippi as the guest of our closest friends, who now, due to the foibles of aging, and their celebrating an 89th birthday, could no longer entertain, my spouse and I researched Natchez accommodations. Fortunately, for us, all the major hotel chains were booked for the first weekend in June of 2023. Serendipitously, I discovered the Stone House Musical B & B. We were blessed to be graciously accommodated by the host, Mr. Joseph Stone, the owner of the main residence, an antebellum, restoration winning residence featured on the Natchez Pilgrimage tours. We spend two idyllic nights at the cottage on the grounds of the estate. Mr. Stone gave us our very own informative personal tour of the Stone House, a history lesson of the present with insight into times past. The breakfast prepared and served served daily in the main house were served on heirloom Limoge china with period serving pieces. The English toast server was a lesson in engineering! My favorite serving piece was the 18th Century English Sterling Mustard Pod which held the orange marmalade. Mr. Stone graciously on one of our evenings in Natchez, played the family Steinway Medium Grand circa 1903. With two daughters who both studied piano with a conservatory graduate, his skills did not disappoint. We were enthralled. Mr. Stone truly is a renaissance gentleman whose attention to detail, history, and knowledge of world affairs, past and present, is erudite, brilliant. He is part of the entire package, if you wish. The cottage on the grounds of the estate was comfortable in every capacity. The beds, perfect. The cotton towels, changed daily, We felt as if we were special amily, and our inclusion into the main house, a perfect Natchez immersion. In retrospect, how blessed we were to have had this experience as opposed to staying in a commercial establishment. We would return, certainly anticipate doing so, and would recommend The Stone House Musical B&B to all comers.

My wife and I stayed for two nights in the very comfortable two bedroom cottage adjacent to the main house. We have lodged at many B&Bs over the years, and most have been delightful, but this was unquestionably our best experience. The main house is truly a museum of fine art, antique maps, and books. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. But, by far, the happiest part of our experience was the time we spent talking with the owner, Joe Stone—truly a wonderful soul. We have family in Natchez and try to visit as often as we can. We will always stay at Stone House. Thank you, Joe!

The history of the home is so very interesting. Joe is a descendant as well as the proprietor of the property. His breakfasts skills are fabulous. The room was very nice and cozy. Joe spent a lot of his time sharing his vast knowledge of the history of his beautiful home and city with us. I would highly recommend a stay with him. By the way, his dog Precious is an absolute sweetheart. Also, if you get a chance, he sells a Praline Pecan Liqueur that is absolutely delicious!Rooms: Beautifully decorated and very comfortableSafety: We felt very safe hereFood & drinks: Delicious breakfast and tasty Liqueur ?

My wife and I had a great experience at Stone House. We felt like we were in a home away from home. The cottage behind the house was private and also comfortable. There was a piano inside the cottage as well if you enjoy playing. Joe, our host, was a very nice and very talented guy. He even played a couple of piano pieces for us in the evening and he made a very nice breakfast for us in the morning. His dog Sweetie also lived up to her name and was a very well mannered and nice dog. We enjoyed it and would highly recommend this B&B.

Joe is a wonderful host with exquisite knowledge of his family history and history of Natchez. Very informative and passionate but not pushy gives you your space but is there if you need him. The breakfast experience is outstanding and second to none. And “Precious “ Joe’s puppy makes you feel like family! We will be back.

My wife and I spent three nights at the Stone House and loved it! We had been wanting to visit Natchez after reading the Greg Iles novels. Just remember, the house and cottage are historic and old, expect some creaking and groaning. Both buildings are filled with antiques and Joe Stone is only too happy to tell the stories behind them - very interesting! Joe is a sterotypical southern gentleman and serves-up a delicious breakfast. He also is a very acccomplished classical pianist and will play for you His dog, Precious, is also a delight - cute as a button, friendly and well behaved. A very nice place to stay as you visit Natchez.
