Was nervous trusting a hot sausage sandwich so far from new orleans....man this hot sausage was actually better than the last sandwich i had IN New Orleans. Never coming thru Natchez without visiting here again...and next time I'm buying a shirt too.

Nowhere near New Orleans PoBoys. They are sloppy juicy and full of flavor. Mine was so dry and mayo was not added and I think they found the skinniest PoBoy bread they could find. Roast Beef had a hunk of fat in it. I fed it to my dog, I could not eat it. The French fry’s were horrible, half burnt. My husband got a hot ham sandwich and his was dry also. I apologize that my review is not good but I just spent $60 on terrible food so I am upset. Photo is of fries and my poboy bread after I fed the meat to my dog.

Decided to stop for lunch today & so glad we did-it was absolutely wonderful. Everyone, from the girls up front, to the guys in the kitchen, was so nice & welcoming. We both got shrimp po' boys-fried & New Orleans BBQ with potato salad & coleslaw-everything was so good! Chef Nine (I'm sorry if I'm getting your name wrong) even gave us a sample of his chicken/sausage gumbo & honestly, it was better than any we've ever had in New Orleans! This was our first time there, but we're already planning to come back before our visit to Natchez is over. Wardo's is definitely a Natchez treasure & we wholeheartedly recommend them!

Great food, nice folks! There are a few places to eat in Natchez, but I'm glad we chose this one. We sat at the bar in the kitchen area and had a lovely conversation with this nice lady. There is plenty of parking and good vibes. 👍🏻 I had the Junkin' with a side of slaw, and my husband had a roast beef with a bowl of gumbo. We took two pralines home for later. 😋

What a great find in an area with few choices on a Sunday! This place is the definition of “authentic” when it comes to a family business serving New Orleans favorites. Their specialty roast beef po-boy was spot on and the specialty meatball po-boy was sooooo tasty! Sitting at the bar watching them prepare the food was a treat as was talking to the wonderful staff running the place. Going to have to come this way more often on trips to and from North Louisiana!!

Highly recommend! Took a trip to Natchez recently and was told this was the best poboy. Absolutely agree. Sandwiches were delicious. We had a group of 8 and every person enjoyed it.

Note there is not much seating space inside. You go up to the counter and place your order. If it is a nice day there are picnic tables outside. That is where we sat.

It’s right along the riverfront, so convenient to stop and walk near by.

Family owned place and everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

This was actually my fav place to eat during the entire trip.

So good! if you haven't tried it, please do. you won't regret- we had hot sausage po boy, wardos poboy and a roast beef poboy and boudin balls. Also tried the gumbo! it was one of the best I've ever had- very friendly staff. the chef is from New Orleans and he is legit. We are also from Louisiana and I know good food! Will definitely be back
