Food here is really good. My one complaint is that unless you have coupons or they have what you're ordering on a their specials, then your order will be ridiculously expensive.

I recently visited Captain D’s and spent $25, only to receive stale fries, dried-out, inedible shrimp, and cold fish. As a frequent customer, I was shocked by the poor quality of the food. The woman at the window seemed rushed, as if she didn’t want to be there, which should have been my indicator to leave, but I wanted what I wanted, sadly. She didn’t ask if I needed anything with the meal, like sauces, but rather threw everything in the bag and closed the window abruptly.

Whether you’re the first or last customer of the day, everyone deserves the same quality, especially given the high prices. This experience was disappointing, and I hope the management takes steps to improve. Poor food quality can lead to serious health issues, and I hope I don’t suffer any ill effects from nibbling on this stale food. Remember, without customers, the company cannot stay open. If you are unwilling to prepare food with care, please step aside for someone who is.

Bring back the coupons, and the restaurant will be full again. As of now, it is cheaper to go buy a fish plate anywhere than to go to Capt. Ds. The fish portions have also gotten smaller. The 5.99 special did help some, but you only give 1 side.
