Food was decent. Just didn’t like the feeling of being in there. Wasn’t welcoming at all. Vibe wasn’t there. Definitely no one spoke. The guy at the register was helpful. I stepped on a bug. It look clean in there so they probably need to just spray more often.

This restaurant is a hit and a miss. We initially tried it a couple of weeks ago because of Big Tae's review & it was chef's kiss. The churros were on point and the flavor of the birra tacos, carne asada fries, chicken quesadilla, & papoosa were delicious.

Fast forward to today & it was nasty. I feel like I wasted $60. They need to be consistent in their flavors.

I don't think I would visit again.

I adore this place and the owners of this establishment! My spouse and I were in the Maywood neighborhood fishing when we first visited. We had already spent all day in the sun and were ready to fill our bellies. Low and behold, we find Esmeralda's just across the street. The food is amazing. From the pupusas to the quesabirria tacos, all the way to the salsa! 🤌🏽 We do our best to get there when we have the time. It is a small family owned establishment and they work hard to thrive. Now just a heads up, they do not sell liquor but the have beer. But I'm telling you, the food is well worth it.
