That was some of the best cajun food I've ever had. If you haven't been here yet, you need to hurry up and go! I will say they were short staffed tonight and we did have a long wait, but we got what we paid for and I'd wait even longer to eat here again.

Living 25 minutes away, was disappointed delivery option was gone.After trying to place a phone order, I eventually went in and saw the lady host handling To-Go orders, managing takeouts, inside checks, & helping serve customers. No wonder no one answered, I completely understood. She handled it very well with a smile, but she obviously needed help. There was a single server bussing the floor who was also very busy. The dining room had about 35 guests, with others coming and going for takeout. I overheard the kitchen was backed up, and that an additional cook would arrive soon. The inside guests seemed to notice the strain (looking around for their meals/drinks).Unfortunately, the desserts, including my favorite carrot cake, had been unavailable for the past month. I ordered chicken quesadillas, wings, and garlic broccoli, with a 45-minute wait.Three years of coming here, the food has never been an issue - as always, delicious. Portions were large, I didn’t finish. The service remained great/extremely friendly, despite being understaffed. I recommend dining in & choosing a slower day or placing pickup well in advance (this was Sat. evening). Overall, from placing the order to receiving it took an hour, which not having other plans, was okay to me.Thank you to the hardworkers! Should the owner/mgmt see my review, it may be wise to invest in additional staff to help things run smoother and avoid overworking the current team. The restaurant has great potential with its popularity and quality food!Dietary restrictions: If you don’t eat seafood, plenty of other options!

Food is off the charts. I got a shrimp po boy, it was massive and for a boy from down the bayou I was impressed. It made me feel like home. My buddy had the shrimp and grits. He said it was off the charts. Great staff, great place, even better food. I would recommend this to everybody, I don't think you could find better seafood anywhere within 50 miles.

Ordered take out from here for the first time. I got the catfish and mac and cheese. The catfish came with hushpuppies and was really good. A solid 8.5/10. The Mac, on the other hand, didn't taste like mac n cheese. I didn't taste cheese at all. If this was called , "a side of pasta" then I would give it a better rating. 4/10

Our family is on vacation & we were looking for a place to eat near our hotel. Flava Shack Seafood did not disappoint. The food was delicious & the staff was extremely friendly. If we are near this area again we will definitely be back.

Phenomenal flavors! I had the shrimp and grits, my wife had shrimp tacos. I cant wait to come back to try something different on the menu. If flavor and presentation is what you're looking for then don't sleep on the Flava Shack! The service was great as well. Our servers name is Kelli. Super friendly and informative. Please go and support this black owned business! They weren't very busy for 7pm on a Wednesday. Shrimp are large and crispy. Broccoli was cooked perfectly and tasted great especially for a to-go order. They packaged everything nicely, much better than other restaurants do for to-go orders. They made sure to vent my shrimp so it doesn't get soggy. Mac n cheese was seasoned and tasted good just wasn't expecting penne pasta. House salad was big and comes with all the fixins.
This is my leftovers AFTER I got full. And not because it wasn’t good. Dang good food. Their prices should be doubled for the amount they give and quality of their food 15/10
