This was my first time ordering food from this place, I was told from someone that the dressing was good when they had it for a side so I thought maybe it would be good getting a whole pan. I ordered a 1/2 pan of dressing first not knowing that I was paying almost $40 for a pan of corn bread no meat or gravy. Once I picked it up I went straight home and placed it in the freezer cause I know dressing can spoil quick. So I took it out the freezer Saturday night and placed it in the fridge to thaw so it would be ready for Easter Sunday. I didn't know I had to first add my own meat to it and then I had too add more seasoning cause the dressing had a funny smell and looked to white for dressing. I I had to literally almost bake the dressing on boil just to make it turn brown. I will never order from them again and I don't care if someone else had it and didn't have a problem maybe the batch I had was bad but they need to do better about the seasoning and when I customer ask for dressing please tell them if it doesn't go with meat and gravy because they shouldn't have to pay for a pan of cornbread costing almost $40

Wasted my money. Menu has items in which this particular location do not offer (chicken breast). Only serve dark meat w/ dressing. Ugh! Please update the menu. The orka was not done. Huge chucks of potatoes remained in the mash potatoes. You can tell they do not clean nor wipe the cornbread pan after each use. Black stuff all in the bread. Food is Not consistent w/ the other locations. Pics available.

Let me tell yall, this is about as good as southern cookin gets.My friends got meatloaf, fried chicken, and the pork chop, then most of us got the blackened catfish. We will be back within the week for sure. This is a must stop. The staff was great and welcoming as well.

So I didn’t get my yams and they gave me double corn and this corn is not good at all they could have double the spaghetti they didn’t even ask they just did it. I bet the experience would have been better if it was in person don’t recommend ordering it for DoorDash or Uber eats. The spaghetti and chicken was amazing make me wanna slap my mama, but the corn and Mac n cheese was not what up. Mac n cheese needed more cheese it taste like milk and noodles. The corn has no flavor over cooked and nastiest thing I ever ate.
I just wanted to express my appreciation for this location!!Yesterday, I was trying to get in touch with the Winchester location to place a shop lunch for my staff(25), but didn't find out until almost 4 that their system and phones were down from the Hacks Crosslocation. Needless to say, I called the Kirby location (next closest) and the lady who answered the phone was pretty much no help or guidance to getting in touch with the Winchester location. Even asked, is there any way you can relay an order, etc. She told me, no we don't do that. Ok, moving on.Called back Hacks Cross as advised, having trouble. Ended up placing an order over $600. and even though it was a little extra of a drive, it was well worth it!!!!Yes, there were a couple of hiccups and waited almost an hour after time, but hey, once again well worth it.The gentleman (Mr.Manuel) admitted what happened. Left off the tators (didnt realize till doing expenses at closing) they were left off, and the dressing was not ready (as stated above). Just advised if I could get a refund for that, but better yet, he delivered it to the shop when it was ready. Just in time to call the staff to meet up. He also went to the dollar tree to get some plates, etc. Was assuming with catering pick up it would come with that. Noted for next time. All good.My staff was in so much praise about every single bit of the order. So much that it will be on our rotation monthly lunches we have.I can go on and on, but please reward this location for all that they do. Talking me out of 2 refunds lol, delivering due to a human goof (no need to express on that). When we order again, I will drive out there again just to have them do it all over again. If I could leave 0 stars I would… my cornbread looked like it was smooshed, fished looked more grilled than blackened..cabbage was very “SWEET”. Yams…. Was absolutely horrible…they looked like they were from last week… and were black … one looked fermented… I don’t recommend eating here anymore, they use to be good but now I don’t know what’s going on.

I used to love eating in here. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and welcoming. The guys...not so much. I also didn't like getting a service charge added on to each dish making it higher than the menu stated. I wonder how many people don't check their charges and don't realize they're unknowingly paying more than they thought. ?

just really disappointed. the cornbread was dry and flavorless, mashed potatoes wayyy too salty, mac n cheese was watery and lacked flavor, chicken tenders were OKAY. the only really good thing i got was a side of dressing! that was pretty good. other than that, wasn't worth the $15. i gave the food to my dog and went to Gus'
