Perfection! Bravo John CurrencešŸ˜€

Cannot rate because the last encounter was a disaster.
After order had been taken, waited more than 30 minutes for food which was never served...Was not there during the weekend and therefore I do not understand the long wait time.

Previous visits, over the years, have been excellent... Service and food were great...So, I am so surprised by this last experience.

I am from out of state, first time in Oxford. I wanted to try a local spot and support small local businesses, but when I walked in, I was not acknowledged by the lady at the register and stood there for several minutes and had to ask to sit at the bar. I sat at the bar and waited for 10 min and was never even acknowledged. Mind you, they were not slammed, it was after the morning rush. The guy who walked in before me who also sat at the bar got a drink and then started his order while I sat there waiting for someone to even look at me, and so I walked out. Rude people and bad service here. I was a waitress for a few years when I was younger, and I know the least a waitress can do is acknowledge you and let the customer know you are busy and that you will be right with them, it takes 2 seconds. People understand if the waitress is busy, but at least let the customer know and acknowledge them! They missed out on a great tip and multiple merchandise purchases as I wanted to buy a few things to take back home. Gave my business to another gift store somewhere else and a restaurant and had top notch service. If you want awful service, come here!!!!

Our waiter Johnny was an absolute gem, the recommendations he made were incredible, left beyond happy once again

The food was great. The restaurant was clean and all the staff were very friendly. I had the ā€œRedneck Bennyā€; one of the eggs had the classic hollandaise sauce and the other sawmill gravy. The sweet potato hash was great also.

I’ve eaten here 2 times. And both times I ordered a Belgian waffle - no whip. Both times we waited for like an hour and both times my waffle was cold. Wouldn’t melt butter. I expect more from a JC restaurant.

Went to BBB for a breakfast wedding anniversary celebration. The food was delish. Our server, Abigail, was awesome.

Excellent curb appeal inviting and well-maintained. The restaurant was spotless, and the service was attentive and efficient. The food was exceptional, with bold flavors and perfect presentation!

Best biscuit I've had in years, and the grits were perfect. But the food, as good as it is, isn't why you should eat here. The service is genuinely warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is buzzy and upbeat with the energy of happy locals enjoying each other's company. If you're dining solo, grab a seat at the counter. Abby will take good care of you, and you'll be chatting to folks in no time. Prepare to be charmed on arrival and sorry to say your goodbyes.

Great place for breakfast! Good food and super friendly service! Prices were fair and the atmosphere was incredible! Good vintage music playing and nice people. The breakfast crumble was great and the poached eggs were perfect! My only complaint was that my chicken was slightly overcooked (seemed like the oil was just a little too hot) and my waffle wasn’t as crispy as I like. Everything tasted amazing and I’ll definitely be going back! Even sitting at the counter on a busy day is comfortable and fun!

The food was delicious - excellent variety of breakfast choices, and a lot of stuff I don't see often. I had a hard time deciding, but the Breakfast Gumbo ended up being incredible! Sadly, it was Sunday and we were there before 11:00 so I didn't get to try their Bloody Mary or their Paloma.

The service was great as well. We didn't have to wait as long as they said we would, and wait staff were prompt, friendly and accommodating of our party of 18.

The atmosphere was really good, just not as outstanding as the food and service.

Best omelette I’ve ever had, secret something omelette. Fresh herbs were FRESH, the rosemary kick they have in there is delightful, and so fluffy! Biscuit and jam are out of this world. Top notch.
