“March 11th, 2023Sat at the bar and enjoyed the exceptional selection of bourbon. I didn't dine but can say the food being delivered to the surrounding tables looked and smelled delicious. Our bartender was extremely knowledgeable, she introduced us to a few bourbons we have since sought out. Many thanks.”
“For a party of 12, we had amazing service. I wish I could remember the name of our waitress, because she was awesome! The servings were a little smaller than I expected, but everything tasted good. The scallops were really good, and I would definitely order again!”
“I had the shrimp po boy. It was okay. The bread was good that it was served on. The shrimp themselves were decent. They could have stood a little more seasoning in the batter. It was also very dry as a whole. It said it comes with spicy ketchup, which I did not see any on mine, and mayonnaise. A coworker had the French fries. They were frozen fries and they lacked seasoning for sure. They were very bland. My drink never got refilled, however the peoples’ drinks at my table were refilled.”
“Had a great dinner here on Christmas Eve. Heading there for New Years Day dinner if they are open. Don't miss it!Vegetarian options: Lots of choices. All very good”
“Snackbar never disappoints. It is without question one of the best restaurants in the south. Cocktails are top notch, the food is spectacular and unique and Chef Bhatt shows off everyday why he deserved a James Beard award. A trip to Oxford can't be without a dinner at Snackbar.”
“Blown away by the food here! Homemade ice cream was the best I ever had and the outdoor patio had a wonderful ambiance. Service was great too. I’ll definitely be back!!”
“This place was suggested to me since I was on a work trip and didn't know what to do. The atmosphere is awesome, I had the wings and they were outstanding. The best part was the golf simulator and let me tell you it's one of the best Sim platforms I have played. The staff was awesome and I will be back anytime I am in town.”
“Tonight was the first time to eat here and my husband and I loved it! The atmosphere and food you can’t go wrong. We had Latrice as our waitress and she was 100% the best! So sweet and very attentive on anything we needed. Highly recommend.”
“We had shrimp &crab ravioli and the veal piccata. Both were absolutely delicious. We topped it with Toffee Chess Pie! What more can I say!!! All was wonderful”
“Brent and his staff are the best and have always done an excellent job with service as well as the teas. In there you’re more than a customer, you’re family! Love this place!!”
“While I was in town visiting my Mom and step-dad they wanted to take me out for dinner. They suggested Toyo. We decided to go for the hibachi side and enjoyed watching while they cooked the food in front of us. It was so much food we took the leftovers home and got to enjoy it the next night. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was delightful. I recommend you go check it out for a fun evening out!”
“The best Sushi in Mississippi. This place is always packed and for good reason. It is top quality! Great drink menus and impressive appetizers like Tempura Green beans, the best onion rings on the planet, and Grilled shishito peppers. If you want something truly unique get the River Rock Kobe which you cook yourself on a hot stone right at your table.I only wish they were open for lunch and allowed reservations for dinner since the place is always busy and has a wait most nights.”
“The food was very good. We went on a Sunday afternoon and they had a great buffet. The fried chicken was as good as I have ever eaten. Catfish fillets were good. Vegetables will definitely go ”
“The entree and appetizer was phenomenal. The bread pudding was horrible. It’s my favorite desert and unfortunately for them i can tell when it’s been reheated. Watkins Mule was awesome also.”
“If you are wanting a piece of Oxford history, this is your place, in business for 30+ years. Wait staff was amazing and Bella was not wrong on the dishes that she recommended. My husband and I ordered a salad to split and then each had our own entree, it was definitely the way to go to not be to full. Looking forward to trying different dishes next time (maybe)”
“The last time my wife and I visited the University of Mississippi campus in Oxford, Mississippi, there wasn't a Steak 'n Shake restaurant at 762 All-American Drive, in the shadow of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. As we planned our trip to Oxford this year, I couldn't wait to have lunch at what I imagined was a thriving business on campus, especially on game day when thousands of Ole Miss students and alumni and fans partied at the nearby Grove and attended the Saturday afternoon football game. Alas, much to our disappointment, the Steak 'n Shake is temporarily closed. Because of COVID, I assume. I can only imagine how much revenue the restaurant is losing, especially when Ole Miss is in session and the Rebels are hosting Alabama or Mississippi State or Georgia. It's like closing an Irish pub on St. Patrick's Day in Chicago. I still recall how popular a Steak 'n Shake was when I attended the University of Illinois from 1958 to 1962, a go-to destination after class, on weekends and during final exam week. I'm sure Ole Miss students miss it, tool”
“Husband and I grabbed salads for lunch today. I had the Mediterranean, he had the chicken Caesar. We both loved our salads- lots of yummy toppings on fresh greens. All the items on the salad line looked fresh and delicious. The dining room was very clean.”
“The place is super cute. I really liked the new addition of art on the wall as well so we had to pose for a couple photos. I’ve been visiting since this was High Pointe Coffee when i lived in Oxford. Now when we visit Oxford, we stop in for the Coffee Frappes. They are perfect as they are, no extra syrup or sugar needed. Thankfully this trip, we had time to stop by twice. Seating inside and out are both great choices.”
“Good food with great service. Little pricey which is understandable. No more than you would pay to eat anywhere else with similar food.Vegetarian options: Best place for vegetarianDietary restrictions: They will customize your food for your dietary needs. Also you can adjust the heat level of your spices.Parking: Large shopping center with plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Great accessibility ♿️”
“I was in the Band that played Friday night, the Delta Project from Memphis. We as always treated great. Staff is great as are the wings, tasty. We look forward to playing Roosters.”
“We hired Bremma's Cakery & Confections to make two cakes for our wedding, and they did not disappoint us! Our experience with them started with a one-on-one consultation with the owner, where we sampled many different cake flavors. We settled on strawberry cake with raspberry compote for the bride's cake and red velvet cake piled high with fresh fruit for the groom's cake. The owner was very responsive to my questions leading up to our wedding day and made me feel like she was happy to be a part of our event. On our wedding day, I was so excited to see our cakes; they were perfect! Bremma's took my cake inspiration ideas and created two beautiful cakes for our guests. One of my favorite details on the bride's cake was the macaroons mixed in among the flowers on each cake tier. Our guests thought the cakes tasted incredible; many took extra pieces home to enjoy later. I had a wonderful experience with Bremma's Cakery & Confections for my wedding cake, and I highly recommend them if you are in the market for a sweet treat for our event.”
“Pretty good food. I ordered pickup and the service was quick and friendly. We had a variety of items including sushi rolls, noodles & the crab wontons. My only nitpick was the crab wontons didn't have as much filling as I had anticipated and therefore didn't taste like much. Otherwise solid meal!”
“This place hands down has the best vegan burgers in town. The service is wonderful. And if you have any allergies, they'll be sure to check every ingredient before serving you. Very helpful to someone picking up a new diet/lifestyle change.”
“We absolutely loved this place! We decided on getting a bunch of different appetizers to try a little bit of everything and we were very impressed with the taste and quality of the food along with the lovely ambiance and friendly waitstaff. The place doesn't get too loud either so that's a bonus! You are served fresh, soft, sweet bread with a jam butter and honey butter when you sit down. It's all quite sweet so if you don't like a lot of sweets you might not like this.My favorite dish here is the lamb lollipops appetizers served over their fried tobacco onions. The lamb was tender, juicy, had a little bit of spice and some sweetness to it from the cabernet molasses reduction, which I have to say was absolutely delicious! The tobacco onions were the best fried onions that I have ever had, they were flavorful, perfectly crispy and were addictive. We also loved the fried button mushrooms, it comes with a heaping pile, it could be an entire meal. The mushroom batter was so flavorful and the mushrooms inside were juicy. It is served with a buttermilk ranch was also very good.I tried the hand-cut cheese sticks and they were delicious! They're absolutely massive and you are served 5 sticks with a very light, but tasty, bredding. The marinara was okay and seemed canned, not too much flavor going on with it.We also tried the jumbo lump crab cakes, which were definitely not jumbo lump. The crab cakes were okay, they seemed to have been seasoned with an old bay type spice. There were onions and peppers in the crab cakes and they tasted a bit sour making me wonder if they add lemon to it. These were okay but being from Maryland these definitely missed the mark and were not as described.I also had the bacon wrapped shrimp, you are served 6 shrimp with lightly salted melted butter on the side. These were okay, the bacon is just salt & peppered and it doesn't seem that they did any seasoning on the shrimp so I found it a bit bland. Besides that, the shrimp and the bacon were cooked perfectly. This could be a good dish for someone who wants low sodium.Fried green tomatoes were served under the crab cakes but I did not like them. The breading was very gritty making me think that they are probably breaded with corn meal. The seasoned fries were thin, skin on, kinda greasy and just okay. The fries didn't seem to be seasoned except by a tasteless parmasean? Some fries were soft, and some were tiny and crispy. We didn't really eat many of them. The one dish I do not recommend here, and I did see it in other reviews, is the smoked gouda mac & cheese. It was awful, watery and lacked any flavor whatsoever.I tried the blueberry lemon drop and it was fantastic, I definitely recommend giving it a try if you drink and like lemon and blueberry.Overall I feel like this place is pretty good, their breading has to be some of the best I've tasted.Kid-friendliness: They have closed seating areas.”
“I am from out of town and needed some sandwiches and salad for a bridal party day of wedding. The ordering was very easy and the staff helpful and efficient. When we arrived for pick up the manager and staff helped with carrying it to our car, and made sure everything was as it should be. The sandwiches were very nice and the presentation was lovely. I would highly recommend this location.”
“Place is awesome. Steaks are awesome. I always have Nicole as my server and she is Awesome. That's all you need to know. P.s. love the Grove Dip as an appetizer..”
“My sister, brother in law, son, and I had dinner here to celebrate mine and my son's birthdays. We ordered the meatball appetizer with grilled bread from Bottletree Bakery which was wonderful. We shared three pizzas and everyone at the table agreed that its the best pizza we've had in recent memory. I loved the concrete walls/industrial vibe of the restaurant, but we agreed some art or greenery would be an improvement.”
