“I have had positive experiences with the service at Casa Mexicana on the two prior occasions that I’ve been. Yesterday, I took family from out of town for lunch and expected a similar experience. I was disappointed when the server assigned to our table ended her shift without telling us and we were not told who our new server would be. Then, all of our orders were brought out incorrectly. They had to take the orders all over again and remake food for us, extending the lunch longer than planned. The food was very good when it was finally right, but at the expense of the service. When I told the manager politely what had happened, he did not apologize or acknowledge the problem. He listened stonefaced to my explanation and offered 10 percent off. While the discount was appreciated, what should have happened was an apology as well. People make mistakes - that’s ok. But when it happens, they should respect your concern, take responsibility for the issue, and apologize. I would still come back, but this issue with service needs to be addressed.“

“I have eaten at Southern Coop for years. Saturday night, after the biggest football game of the season, a friend and I were so hungry that I introduced her to Southern Coop. This was my first time at the new location. All I can say is it’s awesome from the front door to leaving. The girls at the register are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The management/owners are visible and attentive, making sure the place runs smoothly. Go see them!“

“Awarded the best margaritas in town, they are half price on Saturdays, super friendly staff. All around a great experience. We did get there at peak lunch time with a party of 7 so we had to wait for a table. A party of 4 or less is practically no wait at all, even during peak hours. Food was great and I don't think we had any leftovers, which is strange for my family. We tried the pimento hummus as an appetizer and it was surprisingly delicious.“

“We love this place so much because of so many healthy options and even dessert! We come for lunch every time we visit Oxford. However, today we visited and noticed the prices listed on the sign did not add up to our bill. When we asked, we were told the prices are actually significantly higher than listed. Even the “add cheese or fruit for 1.00” is now $1.50. The cashier didn’t seem too concerned and even uncaring about it when we were trying to figure out the math. Please either change the prices on your sign or make sure your cashiers give customers a heads up on the increase in prices BEFORE they order! We still love this place and will be back, but were a bit disappointed at the service today.“

“I took some friends to El Charles Sunday May 5th. To me the food was "off" but since we were enjoying each others company I chose not to say anything. Our waiter, Gavin, seemed overwhelmed. However, he never blinked an eye at our requests. Im willing to eat there again in the future“

“Hands down the BEST BBQ in Oxford! Stayed an extra day in town just to try this place out and it definitely did not disappoint. Had the mix plate and added 2 extra sides to just try everything and there was NOTHING left on the plate. 10/10 highly recommend“

“We were in Oxford for one night and decided to check out Lost Pizza to see what all the great reviews were about. Being from the Houston area, we have yet to find pizza there we truly enjoy. We came in a bit after 8, they close at 9, and we were greeted by friendly staff. We ordered a medium Kujo thin crust and had two side house salads with blue cheese and had a couple of draft beers (a Parish Pure Tropics IPA and a Good People West Coast). The salads were crisp and fresh, and if I could have received a gallon of their blue cheese dressing I would have bought it. It was EXCELLENT and I’m a picky blue cheese dressing girl. I’d love to know what brand it was! The pizza was hot, came out quickly and very good. The crust was perfect and the sauce was delicious (not too little, not too much). The beers were ice cold. Lastly, we were there right up to the time they closed and we were not made to fee rushed, at all, and we were asked if we would like another beer or dessert, meaning, stay longer if you’d like! Service was great. Side note: hubby accidentally left his base ball cap there, we were on the road by 5am this morning. I messaged them, they found it and are shipping it to us. Refused me offering to pay or send a label for the cost to ship it. Again, excellent service and kind folks!“
