“Out of all the Mexican restaurants in oxford this one is by far the best! Prices are cheep and food quality is amazing! The service is awesome too!Vegetarian options: They offer several different vegetarian dishes to please everyoneKid-friendliness: My kids love going here. They are always greated and treated with respect and given the best service“
“The food was so delicious and drinks were good. The decor was so creative. The restaurant and bathroom is a mixture of rustic/weathered wood, sheet metal and traditional mexican decor. Our was so very helpful and spoke both Spanish as well as English!Kid-friendliness: They have several high chairs and booster seats. While eating I saw them clean the high chairs used at the tables across from us.Parking: It was only difficult to find parking since most of the tables were full. When we arrived there were 6 parking spots left.“
“A favourite lunch spot for an almost extra-urban, quick drive from Memphis, so we go there frequently. South Depot Taco has a great selection for built-to-your-spec menu items. I had the fish tacos on the last visit... They were great!Keep circulating as you search for an open parking spot--it'll appear. Don't worry about change; the meters take credit cards or pay by app. Easy.“
“The food is great and the service is excellent. The atmosphere could be better if they would advertise. I went here to eat after an Ole Miss game. It was empty. I know that their name isn't on the sign by the Jackson Ave traffic light where Walmart is advertising. I recommend mailing out coupons to draw a crowd. A live band on a Saturday night the parking lot is big enough to set up a stage. Just something I think would help.“
“Excellent. I had eaten here about 6 months ago while in town for work. I knew when traveling to Oxford again, I wanted to eat here. I have the Tacos Charro, three tacos with steak, chicken and bacon. Wonderful. Great service, was seated right away, etc. nothing bad to say. I’ll eat here again ASAP.“
“Tonight was the first time to eat here and my husband and I loved it! The atmosphere and food you can’t go wrong. We had Latrice as our waitress and she was 100% the best! So sweet and very attentive on anything we needed. Highly recommend.“
“This is one of my absolute favourite places in Oxford! I think all the meats are very good, but the cochinita pibil and the al pastor are truly exceptional. The huarache comes with a cactus salad that's amazing. I usually get either get that or tacos. My wife loves the pambazo (a sandwich drenched in sauce). There are a few tables where you can sit to eat, or you can get take out. The staff are super friendly and make you feel like family.“
“TLDR: excellent burritos and quesadillas. Avoid the margaritas. Queso is meh, but pretty good when mixed with the spicy salsa. Enjoyed all the protein options except the ground beef. Some really awesome Mexican food. I grew up in this part of the country, but I've been living in SA,TX for the last few years and married into a Mexican family. Needless to say, my standards for good Mexican food have risen a bit. Every year when I come back home, I'm disappointed by all the restaurants I used to love. My family wanted to give this one a try and I reluctantly agreed. And boy am I glad I did.Over the last week we've been twice and tried quite a bit of the menu. I can highly recommend the quesadillas and the burritos. The steak, chorizo, and shrimp were all a big hit with the whole family. Fajita chicken was also very tasty. The queso isn't that great, a bit watery and bland, but it's good as a topping, or when mixed with their spicy salsa (you have to request it). The ground beef is okay, but I'd definitely opt for one of the other protein options. My only real issue with the restaurant is the margaritas. They're made with a sweet and sour mix and that's pretty much what they taste like. You can certainly tell the difference between this and fresh lime juice. They also weren't very strong. I wouldn't order them again.“
“I love this place! The tacos are delicious, the prices are good, the staff are very friendly, what more do you want? I especially like that you can get tongue and cheek (cabeza). Al pastor (BBQ pork) is really good too. I get these every time I come. My picky eater daughter likes the chicken torta. My adventurous daughter loves the Al pastor tacos. Quesadillas are also very good.“
“I recently dined at Casa Mexicana, and it was an outstanding experience. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful waiters. The atmosphere was delightful, featuring great music and lighting, creating a friendly and fun ambiance. The margarita tower I ordered was one of the best I've ever tried. The highlight, however, was the food. The queso with chorizo and chips made for an excellent appetizer. For my main course, I had the chimichanga with steak, chicken, chorizo, and shrimp—an absolute delight. The dish was seasoned beautifully, bursting with incredible flavors, and the meats were cooked to perfection. Without a doubt, it's the best Mexican food I've ever had. Casa Mexicana truly delivers an exceptional dining experience.“
“Visiting from out of town and stumbled upon El Agave. Had dinner at the bar and had a wonderful bartender/server. Despite being extremely busy, Peyton took our orders without writing anything down and gave excellent recommendations. She also knew the preferences of regulars who sat down next to us. Wish we were in town another night so we could eat there again.“
